Good sunny morning. Was a chilly 21 overnight with a hard frost, but we'll go into the 50's. We're going to warm up, but it's going to rain for 2 days.

I watched Bachelor last night, and the last trouble maker finally got sent home. I'm enjoying this season.

I need to gather trash and make a grocery list for tomorrow

Summer finally answered my text yesterday about why they never came over on Sunday to help me with the table. She said she had a flare up and slept most of the day. I get that and I understand, but take 2 seconds a send me a text telling me that instead of making me guess if you're going to show up. She took Lily to Potomac State yesterday for a 5 hour session of tours and lectures. Now she has to start applying for financial aid. I'm sure Summer has some plan in mind to make sure she gets as much as she possibly can.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning.

It’s a beautiful day here, sunny, and I hope to go for a walk around the block with Tom and Gus. I will be making ribs in the crock pot. We’ll have them tomorrow.

There’s road construction around, and traffic is detoured through our street.:(

Now that the Masterpiece Series of Creatures Great and Small is wrapped up for the season, I am re-reading James Herriot’s books. THAT was a simpler time! However, without technology like the Disboards, we in this thread would never have met. Even as Mr. Herriot writes, he mentions drugs that would be available in 10-20 years, so I have to say we have to make the best of the times we are living in, and not look back. JMO, of course.

Happy Tuesday!

:hug:Bobbi and wonderful post. What a great idea also to reread James Herriot's books. I haven't read them in years I will seexwhetger they are available on EBook through the library. I'm no longer a fan of holding a heavier hardcover or thicker paperback. His world was simpler in ways indeed. While I do pray as a world we choose to live in faith and kind compassion, how beyond blessed we are for this very moment! Joy in all indeed because He is in all and of us.

I am reading from Libby!

Apparently, it’s all here! I am on page 835 out of 2,000!

Wow, thank you:hug:I did find the Ebooks on the library. Are you going to read all of them? I remember also enjoying his son's biography.

Dad managed to stay dry doing :laundy:earlier this morning. Grateful that is done with. Time for warm soup shortly. Wish we could all have cocoa together this afternoon. God willing, one day, we will. Have a great rest of the day, friends :)

Grabbed a vet appointment for Remy, the stray I took in last year. She's been going to the bathroom outside of the litter box, I just figured she didn't like the cat litter I bought. Over the weekend I noticed there was blood in her stool.
Oh, I hope she's OK!

It seems to be a very cold 30s.
I agree! I was out with one of the cats this morning. It looked so nice, but I came in freezing!

Footballmouse I hope Remy feels better.

Good morning. The usual temps here, 15 right now heading to near 40 today so a bit warmer. I am fighting a cold with the usual stuff, sore throat, cough, chills, headache, fatigue, congestion. I took a few sick hours yesterday to rest. I plan to try to work today even if it is slowly. I doubt I will make the drive to the office tomorrow if I continue to feel like this. Plus I don't want to give this to anyone. My boss is in the office tomorrow so she can make the deposits. I did take a slow walk yesterday and the cold air helped a bit with the congestion. I always miss Chris but when I was sick he would always take care of me so well. I very much miss that.

I have been watching movie takeoffs of Jane Austen books on Hallmark this month. As a big Jane Austen fan some of the movies make me cringe. One of the things I hope to do if and when I retire is reread all of Jane Austen's books and watch some of the movies and TV shows especially the BBC Masterpiece theater Pride and Prejudice done in the early 80s. That was a 6 part series in which the acting was superb.

Have a good day.

Get better! I thought I was getting a cold but it was just my allergies acting up. I had forgotten to take the pill two days in a row.

31 degrees right now and me and Phoebe (persian cat) are watching the bird feeder. A black short haired cat that we don't know had appeared and scared everybody away. I had some goldfinches, cardinals, juncos, mourning doves, a red winged blackbird, woodpecker and tufted titmouse as well as a flock of sparrows. Plus the squirrels should be along soon. They seem to sleep late, lol.

Yesterday I deep cleaned most of my kitchen. Left the refrigerator for Saturday as it will be less full. I also have to change the water filter. Meanwhile I am going to pull it out, dust underneath and use the cleaner on the outside.

Looking at next weeks weather we may reach as high as 70. At least into the 50ties. I may have to plan a little side trip.

Happy Hump Day!🐪

Hitting 60 today 🥵! Going to hover in the 50-60's through the weekend. Rain tomorrow ☔ but I'll take the warmer weather.

Working from home today. Hoping the vet calls with a cancellation so I can get Remy in earlier.🤞

Won some things on the auction website so I need to pick them up this afternoon, I'll use my lunch for that.

Snowysmom - hope you feel better. You probably did the best thing, take off work to rest. Now that we're able to work from home, I think that's what people choose to do instead of resting when they're sick.

Reserved some books at the library, everything I wanted was already checked out. I've got a hold for "Mostly What God Does", and "300 Wonderful Facts to Celebrate the Magic of Disney". I like to read about the little facts or secrets around the Disney parks.📚

Have a great day!

My next Disney trip is only a month away. I'm trying to get some plans made as having 5 of us can make it a chore to make decisions once we get there. Booked a couple of meals and want to book at least one more.

Need to get tickets added (I have them) and reservations for the parks made as three of us have old tickets.

Also need to reserve a couple of room nights for the drive down and back for me.

As I was putting away my packed and still clean stuff from last weeks trip, it occurred to me just to start my packing now. I had so much stuff with me on the last trip! Mostly too much warm clothing as we primarily got good weather.

Last trip I used my lunch box sized cooler and next trip I want to take the larger one, so I can bring various snacks for the room, that are child sized such as individual cheese, maybe pudding or yoghurts and drink packets such as Caprisun.

Plus I will pick up fruit and bring small baggies. Also will need cereal for the girls as well as lactaid free milk. My 2 DD's will be flying down so most stuff will come with me.

Poor Remy! Didn't catch that they were still waiting to be seen. I hope it's an easy fix.

Looks like you are having the weather coming to us next week. While I was putting seed out I saw some keeled over jonquils in the back. Hopefully they'll come back from the frost. They usually do.

Good sunny morning. How we can go from 20 in the morning to 60 in the afternoon, at this time of year, is just strange!

@Snowysmom I hope you feel better

I didn't try turning the table over yesterday. My knee was bothering me too much to try. I went out to the garden and broke up some more branches, burned the barrel full of recycle paper, and then dumped the ashes in the garden.

I'm off to the market and to do a couple of errands.

Have a nice day

Feel better Snowysmom!!

Tough morning… I had to have our dog, Tucker, put down. Now the house is truly empty.😢. He was so helpful to Kris when he got sick. I imagine Tucker snuggled under the heated blanket next to Kris. So much loss, I really don’t know how much more I can take.
