Good morning. Cold here again, 22 degrees. I will wait again before walking.

My real estate agent in Kenny's area sent me a listing of a condo to be built in 2023. It is in the next town over from Kenny. Not sure if I like from the pictures but it is lovely. I am looking more for a back deck and this one has an enclosed deck area with a roof. I will be out in that area this weekend so maybe I will go take a look. Have I said I am tired of having to make decisions? I am not very good at them now.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Very cold here too. Calling for a pretty bad ice storm from 10 tonight till 10 tomorrow night. Glad I got everything done yesterday. I just brought a bucket of ice melt, and my traxx shoe grippers up from the basement just in case. I still have to go outside to feed the cats, and don't want to be skating and falling on my you know what.

@Snowysmom I know you are tired of making decisions, but you are getting much better at doing them yourself. Keep going!

Nothing exciting planned for today. Trash is outside (froze my fingers taking it out), and I want to mount the power strip and undercounter lights today. Might dust and vacuum, might not.

Have a nice morning

Well it's a Christmas Miracle!!!! :rotfl2: 🎄🤶🎅🎄 About this time last year the heating element in one of my ovens went out and it was after the beginning of the year when we finally got around to ordering a new one, or we thought we ordered a new one. We recalled looking them up, recalled there being a loonngg backorder time, but as the winter turned to spring we forgot about it. Periodically over the past 6 months we'd say "did we order that? I don't think so...we need to order that." but for some reason we never did, I think because they were always back ordered or we were unable to get them at all. We got to talking about it again, thinking for sure we ordered it but we could find no record of the order in our emails. Fast forward to today, I got a email indicating that my order .. from February!!!...of a heating element was shipping! I guess we did order it after all, can't believe it's been 10 months! Two ovens was a treat to myself when we built the house, not really something a household with two people in it need, but it was something I wanted for the convenience of it during holidays/big meals.

I am not very good at them now.
I don't know, seems to me you've been doing a hell of a good job making decisions this past year!

They are calling for doom & gloom on the local radio/TV channels. Looks like we may be right under the line here on the shore and it will just be a cold rain for us all day. I hope the ice isn't to bad for you guys and you don't lose power or anything. My FIL drives about a hour to work from their place outside of Romney, backroads- I know my husband and his siblings wish he'd retire or at least find something closer.
DS had a super rough night but now seems to be doing better again. It is very confusing.
Your poor son, I hope the Dr.'s can help him with his symptoms soon.
Coughing a lot today, so just saying 'Hi' and off to make a honey lemon hot drink.
I went to pick up some business cards from our printing/sign guy about 90 minutes ago and as he handed them to me he said "wash your hands, I'm not feeling to well" and I swear I twitched and itched the entire drive home. I used hand sanitizer and washed my hands when I got back to the office but I'm still going to be thinking about that for the next few days:sick: Still, it was good of him to mention it to me and I appreciate it.

Nail appt. this evening. I'm not one for fancy or long nails - I might have mentioned I get the same exact mauve polish each time! But I'm thinking of going crazy and getting my nails painted red. I might even have her do a little design on them, if I decide to get super crazy! I should look up a few examples and see if I see anything I like.

No clue what will be for supper tonight.

Hurray! I hope it gets there soon!

I think she has too!

Romney seems to get it worse than we do sometimes. Funny how close to us it can be, and the weather can be totally different

I would have been twitching and itching the whole way home too. He really needed to tell you, especially with everything that is going around right now.

So far this page is back to normal..we'll see if it lasts!

House is dusted and vacuumed. Made seafood salad for dinner tonight. We will put that over a mixed greens salad, add cherry tomatoes, some fruit and cottage cheese. It will be easy, and still tasty. They are calling for snow starting in 30 minutes or so. It sure feels like it's going to do something,,and the sun had that 'snow' haze around it earlier when it was out. Now it's gray and gloomy again. Watching the Voice finale from last night, even though I know who won, and wasn't in the least bit happy about it

Have a good afternoon

Started this earlier and kept getting distracted with the dog. LoL It's like having a little kid here...she's napping now and I should be doing something but I know once I get up, she will too...😆

Happy Wednesday....

I love MissDolly but it was probably not the best time to welcome a new family member...lol We aren't comfortable leaving her alone yet so I'm finding it hard to get out of the house to finish up what I need to do before Christmas. I told DH I'm going to need to start going in the evening when he or DD are home. I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow, I have a pedicure appointment I made weeks ago. Actually DD will be working from home tomorrow so Dolly won't be alone but DD will be working so won't be constantly supervising her. I'll play with her in the yard before I go and hopefully wear her out so she'll sleep while I'm gone...

DS had a super rough night but now seems to be doing better again. It is very confusing.
Oh no...sorry to hear that. I really hope he can get some relief soon.
Page 1061 is looking almost normal so hope this thing is resolving
I've noticed this post and a couple other I've looked at have been normal but there are still that are wonky to me.

@easyas123 one of my favorite reds has a little sparkle to it...I wish I knew the name so I could share it with you. I'm planning on getting it on my toes at my pedicure appt tomorrow.

@PollyannaMom I hope they find out the issue soon.

@Judique I hope you feel better.

It doesn't look like my area is in for snow this week. We are in the rain area with winds too. I am just not ready for alot of snow. My older Ds's area is on the line of 1-3 inches as he is in central MA so not too bad for him. I have to go out there over the weekend to drop off some Christmas stuff but it should be fine by then. He has to work this weekend so it is a good time for me to just get to his house and drop off some stuff. No one will bother me.

The real estate agent got back to me with more info. I really was not seriously considering this particular property as it is a new build, has well water, and it is not in a town I really want to live in. The condo itself, when it is built, will be lovely. But, I don't want to be involved in a new build. I have enough on my plate. She also told me that the condo won't be ready until June and there is no leeway in a contingency for selling my condo.

I did some grocery shopping after work and vacuumed the half of the condo I did not do yesterday. I will call my NH friend in a bit. Her DH is having carotid surgery next week so if you could, please keep him in your prayers. He has a good surgeon and is pretty healthy other than the partially blocked carotid so he should do fine. She is worried of course.

Have a good rest of the afternoon and evening.

Good afternoon friends,

Dad and I were very grateful extra to God this morning to get an early call from the doctor’s office where he had an appointment for today saying they needed to reschedule. Dad had wanted to see a related doctor first so this worked out perfectly. Plus, he got to stay home today, even better. Above all else, how beyond blessed we are that today’s appointment was not urgent. In mail news, we just got a huge delivery! Dad said our small mailbox was absolutely stuffed. Sparkletts man, Sandro, came and we gave him his Christmas card with a Ralph’s gift card inside. Sandro said he would try to stop by later today because dad and I baked 🍪because tomorrow he will be dropping some off for friends at church (with other Christmas stuff I have for these same people) and when he goes to a Ralph’s who today anyway says they have our Kroger hot chocolate mix. Nice Wednesday albeit very chilly for me, here :)

Extra :grouphug: Snowysmom. ITA with Lynn! You are doing a wonderful job all-around. I can understand your wanting to be done making bigger decisions. I sure don’t blame you. You are absolutely such a courageous lady. God is always with you and He will lead you to the right new place. You have the wise plan also of not rushing into anything and checking the area out in general and for social activities. From all over, your Quacker family sure loves and is supporting you always, too. You know that. Prayers for your friend's DH!

Glad to hear you have a cozy at 🏠 day planned for today, dear Lynn:hug:! Pretty Christmas-ty castle picture, thank you for sharing with us.

PollyannaMom:grouphug:, I am so very sorry your poor DS continues to go through the wringer! So very many loving prayers to all of you!

Feel better, Judique!:grouphug: Please take good care.

Easyas, I also hope the part arrives soon! Enjoy getting your nails done. So glad you’re doing something for yourself, my friend:hug:.

Editing to add I found a Christmas card on Zazzle I could custom make for dad that would be half off today. I would greatly appreciate your help in finding an extra image to put on it. Thank you, friends, :)

Off to shortly go through a batch of mail. I will check back in later :)

Hello!:sunny: Although it is dark out now.

I had my annual mammogram today. It was in Bel Air (45 minutes away) so I went to Target and 2 other stores and just about finished shopping. I was shopping for Jack but ended up buying toothbrushes for everyone. I always put one in their stockings so figured they'd need them. And a couple of things off the $1 shelf for Carter and Tessa.

Made sugar cookies last night. May make peanut butter blossoms tonight while watching Survivor.

The shade story has not ended yet. Finally got one to fit then it wouldn't stay down or retract up. If Jack wasn't doing this, I would have given up.

@dazedx3 I pray Chris will make it to the wedding and that you can enjoy it.

@flyingdumbo127 I was having that issue with the squashed text box and and blue block on the right but it's better on this page.

@AuntieMe3 How nice of your DH to offer to pay the fee for the dog. When we got our 2 goldens from a rescue, the wanted them adopted as a bonded pair. One was chipped but it wasn't registered. The other not chipped. They were picked up together as strays but had totally different personalities and didn't look alike so I don't think they were related but we'll never know. They were skinny and definitely bonded.

@Snowysmom I understand your feeling about making decisions. Sometimes I just run out of the ability to make any more.

Well it's a Christmas Miracle!!!!
Glad your oven may get fixed. Curious, did you pay for it in February?

Yep, the weather panic has started. Calling for ice here. So much worse than snow.
I really was not seriously considering this particular property as it is a new build, has well water, and it is not in a town I really want to live in.
I understand why you wouldn't want a new build or to be in a town you don't want, but what's wrong with well water? I went from living is a big city (Baltimore) to being on a well for the past 34 years. Not a problem at all.

Better fix some dinner. I defrosted tuna steaks and will make Nathan's French Fries. You all got me to try them. And a vegetable.

Good evening.

Just a quick hello. I am out of the boot and in an air cast for the next 3 weeks. I'm a little sad about that because I had plans to decorate the boot with Christmas lights. I realized the doctor I saw today treated my husband several years ago after his surgery and strokes. I liked this doctor so much better than the surgeon.

Keep my mom in your prayers if you can for a quick recovery. Evidently she had skin cancer on her face and had surgery today. I thought she had a doctor's appointment and a minor procedure. Half her face is bandaged and she will have over a 2" scar. I am praying they got it all.

I went to bed early today because the stress of the holidays and my husband being petty was getting to me. I know he doesn't mean to sound like a herd of elephants walking through the house and making everything shake, but when I said something to him, he got irrationally angry. It's from the stokes, they altered his personality, but sometimes the best way to deal with it is for me to remove myself from the situation.

My computer is about to die so I wish you all a good night.

Good wintry morning. We have a sheet of ice outside, and freezing rain is falling.
All schools, courthouse bldg, libraries, and a lot of businesses are closed. Plows and sanders have been up and down the road since 2 am.

I put my Traxx on my shoes to get out to the shed and put bowls of fresh water and dry food out for cats. Looked on front porch, to find all 5 of them sitting there, staring at the door, waiting for me to open it and put their canned food down. They aren't stupid, they know where it's safe and dry.

Watched Survivor last night, not happy with the winner, but oh well.

Going to make some coleslaw for dinner, and have that with burgers and Nathan's fries.

Not planning on doing much of anything else, at least not yet.

Summer had a Dr appt with chemo Dr yesterday. The upped her doseage, and told her it's helping her. Did liver tests to see if chemo has done any damage, so far she's okay. They are getting her an appt for someone to see if they can do something about her feet. She has bone spurs on both of them. It's always something.

SIL went to her Dr again yesterday. Says her hernia is bothering her. She asked him if she should go to the ER. He told her no, that they couldn't, wouldn't do anything,,and that she needs to stop running to the ER for every little thing, that ER's are for emergencies, lol!

Have a nice day, stay safe if you have ice/snow

It's 35 and raining here, no snow. It's supposed to be raining until early tomorrow morning with our high going to 48, but dropping into low 40ties overnight.

Fed my cats late as I was up and down all night and fell asleep and slept til 8am. So yellow cat promptly threw up after eating and I had to clean that mess.

During coffee Yorkie wanted to go out 3 separate times. He would run, circle and run back in. He did number one but is still waiting on number two so I suppose I will do the door thing 5 or 6 more times before he stays out long enough to do his business. He's too old to leave out in the rain. It's not severe rain but would get him soaked through if I leave him.

DD is working from home (her regular schedule) but hasn't emerged yet. She'll probably come down for lunch.

I may do some light laundry.

That's my day.
