When I click onto the smile image, it just says 'downloading images." One of the only smilies I know how to make is a regular one by : ) close together . That's how I did that :) It is not showing me the yellow, etc. other choices. I was sure hoping we'd also finally be able to do a search for particular smilies like we could long ago. That was so handy to do. For example type in "chick" and it would bring up all the yellow chickies. Will check later. Hope it works for the rest of you in the meantime.

Dad did get store credit back at Target and is soon heading to Rite Aid. We are praying supermarkets don't go on strike out here. It's been years since there has been a strike but last time it was pretty lengthy. I extra appreciate all grocery store workers over the last couple of years that is for sure. Without Ralph's or Pavilions, we only have Gelson's (expensive, small market) and Target. Dad would still be able to get some things at Trader Joes and Sprouts. We really rely on Ralph's especially but also Pavilions. Bargaining is starting today. I sure hope that goes well for all.

Good afternoon.

Marty went home this morning!

So glad they are all home together. Hoping for a visit down to them this weekend.

DH and I went out for exciting errands this morning. First we went to metal recycling and made $12.60 getting junk out of the house. (@easyas123, aren't you jealous?) Speaking of, she has been missing from the thread but I checked and she is still "Reacting" to posts.

Then we went to the library, pharmacy. CFA, gas station, and a home made candy store to get chocolate eggs for Easter. Glad we went early as they said they had supply issues and once they sold what was there, they were out. They had a good selection today but it won't last long.

Oh geesh, no one needs that.

@lynxstch, I hope your stepdaughter's surgery went well.

I can't do smilies either. Just says loading.

Sunny and 55. Freezing rain was all melted by 9. Aldi's and Walmart weren't super busy, but busy enough. Some Friskies this week, but no 40 boxes of litter. No garlic butter in the bakery, no Nathans fries in the frozen food section (glad I have 2 bags, was going to buy an extra one). Mr L's ex texted me around 1 that Summer was out of surgery, the Dr said all went well. She was in recovery for an hour, and I don't know what time they are letting her go home . Thank you for all of the prayers. She has a 6 week recovery in front of her, followed by a lot of PT, but she should be feeling better after that. Stopped at a new Italian place where one of our Pizza Huts used to be. It's called Lido's..Mr L wanted a cheesesteak sub..for the $10.50 I paid, it wasn't much to speak about. Should have just gone to D'Atris and gotten him a large one..for 12.55..those are enough for 2 meals, compared to the one he had barely being one meal. We learned,,won't try that place again!

I can't get smilies to work either. I will try posting on the tech board and see if they are working on it

Have a nice afternoon

Edited to add. They are aware of the problem and Webmaster Kathy says they are working on it. I also noticed this morning that thumbnail was the only option for attaching something,,the full size button was gone :(

footballmouse, I agree with you about there being more likeable people on this season of Survivor. Wasn't last week's episode crazy? First that guy, hardly ever remember their names, basically does the whole challenge himself, then tribal was insane. Very exciting!

I've been lifting up prayers for all those mentioned.

QOTD - Do you like cold pizza?
I love cold pizza especially for breakfast.

Book club met Monday night. We have a new member and an old one that has come back to the group which makes us a lucky 13 in number. Our book for March was Rise of the Ranger by Philip C. Quaintrell. It's a fantasy. There were mixed reviews. I was in the "4" rating group. We rate 0 to 4 where 0 means you didn't read it to 4 which is the highest rating. I just enjoy fantasy novels.

Last night we watched Lil Joe in his first baseball game this season. He is batting and throwing much better. This team's dads are more active than the other two seasons he as played. He'll play coach pitch in the Fall.

We've had some warm temps that last couple of days but it is chilly today and probably tomorrow. If the wind would died down it would be really nice outside.

Dinner tonight will be cheeseburger macaroni, Endless Summer salad and brussel sprouts in a butter sauce. Maybe corn on the cob too, haven't decided but the kids really like it.

Hi everyone -
Yeah, took a bit of a break. Kept up & read this & other threads. Just didn't have a whole lot to add! Was also traveling for work (stayed at a neat art deco place in FL called the Don Cesar, it was nice) and then I spent a few days with my folks putting in windows and a front door. I think my parents might be the only ones in their 70's building a house doing a lot of it themselves. The old man is laying brick, along with a helper, this week.

Good afternoon.

Guilty! I've been laying low. Sometimes I feel like I've run out of stuff to say.
That is awesome news about Marty going home. Congrats to your son & daughter in law!
Plus a good friend ended up going in for triple bypass last week. He was fine up until then, and so that was a shock. He came thru and is up and bugging the nurses with inappropriate jokes, so I guess that is a good sign.
Unless you are his nurse -
I dunno...my mind just has been occupied I guess.
$12.60- nice haul! Will they take silo's???????? One of these days we gotta get ours down and to the scrap yard. Husband keeps telling me isn't not worth much but I keep saying "BUT IT'S A WHOLE SILO, HOW CAN'T IT BE WORTH ANYTHING?!?!".
Should have just gone to D'Atris and gotten him a large one

Oh - D'Atris is a banned word in our household. As you know my husband grew up in your neck of the woods, and boy do they do go on about that place! I grew up in South Jersey & across the river from Philly so we, well we have to agree to disagree ha ha!

I'm glad your stepdaughter is doing well. Recovery from any surgery, especially one so invasive is never fun. Hope all goes well for her.

Husband is home spraying fields before tomorrows rain. We are planting a few acres of "for fun" experimental stuff to see how we like it for future plantings. Several types of sunflowers. Field corn, and a type of dwarf corn. Also trying some hemp (for the deer as part of our mitigation food plot that diverts them from the vineyard, evidently they love it) and Egyptian wheat for the first time. It's all going to be one big experiment, which is fun. Plus we plan on planting a fair bit of wild flowers & cutting flowers.

I don't mind cold pizza. If I reheat it I don't like it reheated in the microwave, so often I will just eat it cold vs. standing there over the stovetop.

Let's see...I know I'm missing a ton of replies to the thread, sorry! Snowysmom - I hope your bid was high, but if not good luck on the next one!
AuntieMe - Have a awesome time on your cruise! We were supposed to be flying out to Budapest late this afternoon at 5:30 for a trip to Austria & Hungary :( but we had to push our trip back to later this year. I'm glad someone else is out there & going though!

Dinner tonight? spinach and ricotta ravioli or turkey burgers or grilled chicken or bacon & eggs. We will see what we feel like when I get home! Strike turkey burgers from the list...I don't have burger rolls. Oh well. Oh yeah - Lyn speaking of Nathan's fries they had a few bags at the grocery store this past weekend and I looked at them, but didn't get a bag because I thought I had some. I did not, and now your comment has me hitting the grocery store tomorrow to stock up on a bag or two of them. Honestly - those frozen Nathan's french fries are to good!

How about that Bruce Willis news? So sad, that's one guy who you don't hear anything bad about and seems to have found a way to be a good family man and well loved by his family.

Later gators - (speaking of gators - is it me or is Disney digging itself into a big old hole? Talk about no-win, I'm kinda shocked to see not one mention of it on these boards. Sorry, I know we steer clear of politics on this thread...but dang it's a big fat news story and odd that it hasn't been brought up on other threads. Oh well )

@easyas123---My stepsons have raved about D'Atri's for years. I don't see the appeal. I don't care for cheesesteak subs and that's all they ever get. They eat there at least 2x when visiting,,and take home a cooler full. They have even had them shipped down to Ocean City, lol. Last time the younger one was up, I noticed chicken salad sub on the menu, and it was delicious. I swear it had at least 1/2 a chicken on it. We weighed it and it weighed over 2 1/2 lbs,,lol. But at $12.55 a sub, we don't eat there often. I watch for Walmart to mark down the already cut up rotisserie chicken in the little packages, and get 2 of them. But even at the $10.77 they were marked for regular price today (I snagged the last 2 at $6.99 each), you can get at least 4 subs out of one pkg, at least I can. I had to LOL that the word D'atris is banned in your house..wait till I tell Mr L that one--

LOL at your looking at Nathans fries, but not buying them. Get 2 bags so you always have a spare,,lol!!

Yes, very sad about Bruce Willis. He was never one of my favorites (he is one of Mr L's though) and he was a good actor and family man. The acting world will be missing a good talent with him stepping away from acting.

Anyone noticed there are a few threads below the reply box now?

Yes and it's pulling up old stuff. The link to the board you are on has been moved to the top of the page so now you have to scroll up, instead of clicking from the bottom where you probably are to switch threads.

edit; never mind me....I found the links under the old threads.

@easyas123 There was a thread on that subject last week that was sort of mild, then someone tried to start one this morning and it was promptly deleted.

I am sad today hearing that Josh from EasyWDW has passed at just 36. It feels like low-key all over again. I used his crowd planners all the time and recommended them to others to use. They made for some great trips for us. 😢

Tonight we had lemon orzo chicken soup and it was very good. 🐣

Hooray and Praise, praise God! What fantastic news to come onto this evening, Carol! God Bless baby Marty and all of his family, yay. There's no additional strike info yet just what we already know which is negotiations started today. So hoping there isn't a strike indeed.

Hug extra to you as well, Lynn, and continued payer for your stepdaughter. Thank you for asking about the smilies. They still say "downloading."

Good to see you Easyas! That sounds fun to doing some extra planting. Enjoy your fries, my friend.

Kirby much prayer always to you and your family, good to see you back here, too.

Hug, Pea and anyone else who more personally knew Josh. I didn't. Always, of course, extra sad to learn of the passing of someone so young. Condolences to his family, friends, and all Dis-er's who better knew him, of course, too.

Sweet dreams, be cozy, and love to all.

I am so sorry to hear about Josh from Easy WDW. I used his site for trip planning but haven't in a while. I did notice he was not doing as many reviews and it seemed longer between them last time I was trip planning in 2021.

Real estate stuff is still plugging along. I may have an update on things today.

It is 39 degrees now going up to the 60's today. It was 17 on Monday and 60 today.

Have a good day.

Happy Thursday! (Guess the emojis still aren't working)

Was able to get out and cut the grass yesterday after work. I only did the backyard and by 6:30, I was regretting not doing the front but I had already put the lawnmower away and I wasn't going to get it back out. The wind was really bad, I didn't have my earbuds in for some music, plus I was just tired. The wind was really bad yesterday and last night. Part of the flashing under the gutters came off from the house, Ds3 will have to fix that today when he gets home. I took my flag down this morning, should have done that last night, the wind was blowing so hard this morning when I left for work I thought it might pull the flag holder off the porch post.

Watched Survivor last night, my big highlight of the week. Not too disappointed with who was voted off.

Breezy_Carol - yeah for Marty!!!! I'm sure everyone is happy to be home.

easyas123 - wow, what a trip you have planned. Hope nothing prevents you from going later this year, that sounds like an amazing trip.

I was bummed to hear about Bruce Willis. I've liked him since Moonlighting.

I must have missed something regarding Disney, I have no idea what the big talk is, guessing it has something to do with the alligators.

Have a great day!

Good rainy morning. Calling for thunderstorms and 70 degrees today. I slipped when coming up the back steps bringing in groceries yesterday. Banged my 'butt, hip, knee, and wrist, so am a little sore and stiff this morning. Haven't look yet, but I bet I have a few bruises too. At least I didn't break anything!

Watched Survivor last nite, glad the person voted off was one I didn't like. I like Maryann and Jonathan the best. He is a beast at comps. I am hoping when the merge happens, that they don't try and get rid of him as a big threat

No plans for the day yet, but I can't sit long either, my butt hurts to sit, lol

Have a great day all

Still no smilies work, but at least I found the 'full image' thing again, lol!

I don’t know either and am curious.

At some personal risk & peril hahaha...and probably a healthy dose of regret, I'll post a few links.
*these links are from a simple google search, first few I came to. Could I have done a deep dive? Yes, did I? No. I think it's incumbent on each person to do their own research if they are interested in the subject.
