Has anyone stayed here recently? Got it for $53.00 a night for May. It is the one on Palm Parkway by DTD.

I read Tripadvisor reviews but would love to hear from someone who has stayed there from the DIS. Thanks!!

Great info! I am thinking of booking that hotel for our trip in March. I'll have enough Choice points to get 4 nights for free but will probably have to pay for the 5th night. I'd love to hear from someone who has stayed there as well.

Very comfortable suite. Excellent hot buffet breakfast with good choices for all the family. Very clean comfortable beds. The pool is nice but is a bit cool. The staff is very helpful at check-in and departure and extension of one hour on checkout was very much appreciated.

I'd love to hear more reviews of this hotel too! I got a great deal for my 7 night stay in July and am hoping it will be a good place to stay for my family...because I love a deal! We got 7 nights with a minivan rental (Hertz) on hotwire for under $850...not bad I think since there are 6 of us and its hard to find places that will fit all of us in 1 room/suite for a decent price.

Are there affordable restaurants nearby for lunch/dinner? This is a budget trip for us and will only be eating 1 meal a day at the parks but really don't want to cook either

We just stayed there last week (March 20-25) and loved it. The rooms were big enough to hold all the 'stuff' we brought and bought while we were there. My girls (ages 8 & 10) had plenty of room on the sofa bed, and it was comfortable too. We had a full kitchen including a stove, microwave and full size refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker(!). Breakfast buffet was good, but the only hot things were sausage links and waffles (eggs on some days). I got tired of sausage links and waffles. The staff was helpful, and we were able to buy our park tickets right in the lobby.

We NEVER had more than a 15-20 min. commute to the parks, and rarely saw any traffic. DTD was about 5 min. from the hotel. Restraunts in the area were: TGI Friday's, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Golden Corral, Red Lobster, a steak place (can't remember the name), Olive Garden, and a few more. There is a Walmart not too far from there too, and that's where we bought our t-shirts ($12 each!!).

I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying off Disney property.

If you don't mind, how did you get such a great rate? Your rate is much lower than the standard rate for May.

We stayed there last week for 8 nights. It was very comfortable, a little dated perhaps in the rooms, but everything we needed was there and the beds were comfy. The pool was cool, but we had very warm weather for this time of year so my kids didn't mind at all. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was good with yogurt, waffles, sausages, toast, bagels, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. I often grabbed an orange or two on our way out to throw in my bag for later. Be warned though, about the shuttles. The scheduled times are not really convenient if you want to be there for rope drop, and there aren't that many times available. For instance, in the mornings the shuttle to a specific park only leaves at one time, and also stops at other hotels (I think around 5 other places nearby) to pick up people, and then stopped at another park as well before getting to the park you want. Often this leaves you arriving at least an hour after you leave the hotel. The times coming home, too, are odd. Sometimes before the nightly show, or else quite late afterwards. We stayed for Fantasmic one night and left as quickly as we could to make the shuttle to our hotel. We did, but then discovered it went to Epcot and then the Magic Kingdom as well, to pick up people, and then dropped them all of before our stop. That was a LONG drive home.

Also, if you don't have a car, know that the nearest grocery store is a bit of a walk away. We hauled back some ciders and a bottle of wine with our groceries, in the hot sun..yikes. Take a cab.
