DD and I are thinking of taking a very short trip to DL for two nights. It would be our first trip to DL. I want to keep it on a tight budget. So can anyone tell me how the Quality Inn is and also any pics would be greatly apprecitated or any info on any other cheap clean hotels close to DL...

Wewww. that was a mouthful. :lmao: TIA

We have stayed there twice and it was nice. It is a budget hotel, nothing fancy, but it is clean, especially if you get a remodeled room. The walk to the park is not too bad, kind of like walking from the trams at mickey and friends. The free breakfast is ok, basic stuff and make it yourself waffles. It tends to get crowded, so get there early. Overall, if you are looking for a decent budget hotel, I would recommend it.

I would agree with everything the PP stated. I would also add that the rooms are a bit on the small side.

Also, when we were there last spring they were VERY understaffed! We had to wait to check in for at least 20-25 minutes because there was only 1 person working the front desk, (and he was also taking all the calls). I called to request a crib before arriving, and it was not in the room. I had to call three times over the course of our first day there (arrived at 2pm) and finally got a crib at 10pm at night after getting back to the hotel with very tired children.

Over the course of our stay, our key got deactivated, (I think I put it next to a souvenir magnet that I bought at the gift shop on site) and that was a huge issue. I had to wait in line again for 10+ minutes to get a new key. When I did, the other keys were deactivated. So... back up to the office to wait another 10-15 minutes to get all of the keys reactivated this time. uuggghh...

But with all that said, the hotel was clean and quiet. It is next to the freeway but we didn't really notice the noise at all. The breakfast is basic but had enough for us. The walk was easy, just a little tiny bit farther than HOJOs.

Here's some pics after we checked into the room.... HTH!!! :goodvibes

It's had some pretty bad reviews on TripAdvisor.com, although recently they've been better. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...Suites_Anaheim_Resort-Anaheim_California.html A few people here have had bad experiences with it. Others have said it's ok.

The guy who wrote Bret's Disneyland Lodging map said his room had bedbugs when he stayed there, but that was a few years ago. Here's the link; click on the Quality Inn link to see his review: http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

I would try to time my trip to hit HoJo's Entertainment book rate and stay there instead. Same distance and much nicer. You can stay in a standard room for $59, or a deluxe or superior room for $69 or $79. Plus free parking and internet and a great pool. Here's the link with the dates: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14

One other suggestion: if it's your first time, please try to make it for 3 days instead of just two-- and buy 3-day parkhoppers. That will get you one Magic Morning, and you'll have a much better chance of seeing everything you'd like to at a leisurely pace. If you haven't read Hydroguy's tips compilation, it has a lot of great tips for doing DL: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520483 Including differences between WDW and DL for the WDW vet-- I'm assuming that's what you are, since your post count is so high and yet this is your first trip to DL! :thumbsup2

Hope that helps!
