Last night, Trina rushes in to the house and announces that she needs lanyards RIGHT NOW! Well, the first thing I thought was that the ice cream man was now pin trading and maybe I could get a Dilly Bar in exchange for a 100 Years of Magic Disney Store pin. But no such luck, instead, she is planning to introduce her girls troop to pin trading at their camp this coming weekend. As a result, she is giving each of them a lanyard with two pins. This request of course meant it was my responsibility to find 15 lanyards and pins oh and could I create custom lanyard cards with their names on them? Still grumbling that I was A) going to miss out on a mini meet (guys are not allowed at girls camp. I still don't understand that, I didn't understand it when I was 15 and I don't understand it now) and B) I didn't get a Dilly Bar; I began digging through my pins and bags to find lanyards for her. When I brought out my Disney Pin trading Backpack that I bought last August, I found that one whole side of the material had frayed and one of the straps had come apart at the seam. This resulted in pins falling all over the floor and I was left holding part of the bag. Not only was this a bummer of a deal, but I also missed picking up all the pins. How do I know this you ask? Well I found the one pin I didn't pick up in the middle of the night when I went to get Dakota a drink of water. And as we all know, a pin always falls point up on the floor and when you lose a pin they never have the back attached to them. Now I find myself doing my best Yoda impression walking with a cane (if only I could do that cool Jackie Chan Yoda thing he does at the end of Episode 2) with a stack of pins and a broken pin backpack. My question is, has anyone else had trouble with the material coming apart on their backpacks? I am hoping that this was just a bad break and not a normal occurance. Before I replace it (hmmm, I wonder if anyone is at WDW that could pick me up a new bag?), I was curious if anyone else has had problems with their pin bags/backpacks?
