Can anyone tell me why on earth does Jean wear that thing around her head? :confused3

I have no clue but I can say with certainty that the Quaker Factory Shows have given me a whole new understanding of the mind of the midwestern woman. That and "Storybook Knits." Whoa baby.

DW told me she has said she uses it for a Cheap facelift :confused3 :confused3

I love it. :rotfl2:
I have often wondered the same question. I know that there is a large following of Quaker Factory, but not for me!

Quacker Factory - you have to be nuts to wear that stuff.

It looks so cheap - like a Walmart type item.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: !!! If my bladder was full right now I'd be wearing its contents! Too funny! :lmao:

As a twentysomething, I can only see her fan base for those overly cutesy sweaters as either grandmas or preschool/kindergarten teachers (no offense to either group!! )

Thanks :teeth:

Well, let me give the "official" answer. My mom is a huge Quacker fan and through her I have a couple of things. The rule is nothing with rhinestones or beads. That doesn't leave much. ;) Anyway, my mom bought her book "Pull Yourself Up By Your Bra Straps" and of course I was given it to read as well. It's actually quite funny and a quick read. The headband started because she moved to Florida and she was always hot and sweaty. Her daughter (I think it was her daughter) made her a headband and this kept the sweat from dripping down her face. Now she is known for it and always wears it for her public. There you go.

:rotfl: I'm glad you asked this because I thought I was the only one it bugged! Everytime I'm flipping through the channels and see her I always think she would look soooo much better if she took that thing off her head!

:rotfl:

OMG!! Has anyone seen the take-off that Mad TV does on the Quacker Factory Lady? It is so right on and hilarious!! :rotfl: I cannot watch the Quacker Factory lady without thinking about that skit. :lmao: :lmao:

I think the headband was initially used to keep the sweat from rolling down her face on the set, but then she just kept it as her look (and to keep the sweat from rolling down her face).

I think some of her stuff is cute. It's way overpriced, but some of it is cute.

My sister who wears a size 2 bought me a jacket that was Quacker Factory. I'm 140 pounds. She bought me a 3X size. :thumbsup2
I sold it on ebay and made like $50 on it. Maybe more. I can't remember now.

I have seen one or two things that I like. But that darn headband!! I hate it, it's ridiculous. I wish someone would call in and tell her to take the darned thing off.

Hey Dana! I am offended. I am a midwestern woman and I wouldn't be caught dead in anything with a Quacker Factory label! ;)

As far as that thing on her head, I don't think it comes off. :confused3

I live in Boca Raton and I believe she said she does, too. I don't see anyone down here wearing headbands like that. :confused3 :rotfl:

What is that supposed to mean? :confused3 Do you think we are all hicks out here?

I have some Quacker Factory items. Sure some of it is over the top, but some items are really nice.

And I don't really care for the headband, but I don't have to wear it. I guess she is laughing all the way to the bank. Her husband died and she had herself and her children to support and I think she has done quite well.

I also think that some of you are just mean. I wonder what people might say about the way you dress? It is always a good rule that if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing.
