QSDP - Worth it?

I'm trying to decide if I should plan to get the QSDP for myself and a 5yr old, or just skip it and just pay for meals OOP. It is typically worth it for just two people, when one is a 5yr old boy?? I know that it will depend on what we like and things like that, that there is no "one size fits all" but I'm looking for experiences and thoughts, I guess. Thanks!

I say no. There isn't much of a difference in the actual amount paid and what you save on the QS plan. Plus with just a young child and yourself you most likely can split some meals or skip a dessert and be fine. Plus we always have alot of snacks left and I can't imagine that you will need as many as you get since there are only 2 of you and one is so young. I think you will save money by just ordering what you want when. If you decided to do the regular ddp I'd say go for it. Kids have a great profit margin when you do buffets if you do dining plan.

If you normally get dessert, if you will be buying refillable mugs anyway, and you like the snacks then I would say yes. Otherwise you would probably come out cheaper oop.

WE had it free last year. But this year we booked the kids free promo so we added it. For us we just like our food pre paid for. We love the QSDP. WE pefer it over the regular plan we go for 10 days so that is alot of adr's. We will still do a couple of adr's. I"m also hoping FD get released again since that would save me even more money.

It's worth it for us because it works well with the way that we tour the parks and eat our meals. The QSDP is like any of the Dining Plans: it can work well for you if it suits your style of eating. It stops working when you have to make it work.

This meal plan works best for us because we like places that serve more than the typical hamburger/french fries. The value ( I think ) comes from the restaurants you like. For instance, we love the Tangierine Cafe and Sunshine Seasons, which are more expensive, so it is a good value.

I think that most kids meals are the same in most locations, so if you like to eat off the beaten path, your child can still get the same nuggets, pizza, etc.

We also like the snack options, which you may like with a little one. They can be used in the stores for the individual bags of candy as well. When our youngest was little, we would always get him a snack on the way out of the park. He's 15 now, I miss those days!!!
