QSDP refillable mug voucher?

We're trying the QSDP for the first time in a couple of weeks. My understanding is that you are given a voucher for the refillable mugs that come with the plan at check-in - Does anyone know if you have to use the voucher at your resort or can you turn it in at another resort? I hear the YOAMD mugs are still out and will be until each resort sells out - I'm wondering if I hear (thanks to DIS ) of a different resort having the new mugs if I could go there and turn in my voucher in order to get the new mugs (assuming all resorts have the same mug design). Also, do the vouchers have an expiration date on them or could I save them for our next trip in May when we're doing the regular dining plan and won't get mugs? I don't think we'll use them often or at all this next trip because of time/scheduling but will need them in May so it might be worth it to save the vouchers for then if it's allowed. As I'm writing this, I'm realizing I am way too worried about the 2009 refillable mugs!

Im very mad at disney for still not having the new mugs out

I have six from 2007 and 2008 I dont want FOUR more.
I am usually one to stick with the rules but if they cant bring out new mugs a month into the new celebration then maybe I can keep my vouchers for a later date...or maybe ebay.

I think Im going to email disney and see what response I get.

I understand - I wouldn't be using the mug at a different resort though only purchasing/turning in voucher there in order to take the mug back to my resort to use there during the length of that stay only or if I saved the vouchers for May, I still would only be using the mugs at my resort for only one stay (which is the same amount of days as the Feb. trip). I don't want to "cheat" Disney in any way just don't 4 more YOAMD mugs to go with the 12 I already have

Just returned on Sunday. We did try the QSDP. We stayed at Boardwalk. We had to take our KTTW card to the Boardwalk Bakery(where they sell the mugs) to purchase them and then use our KTTW card to pay for them. No voucher, just use same card that you use to pay for dining and get the mugs. I suppose you could redeem at any resort that sells refillable mugs.

Interesting, I plan to do some resort hoping while I am down there this weekened. If I see the new mugs then I will try to redeem it there? I think the values would probably be more likely to "run out" of the old mugs first...just a guess!

Actually the mugs say "Free refills available at our Resort Beverage islands until the end of the stay in which the mug was purchased."

This is good to know. When we originally booked the pkg., the CM said we would be given a voucher at check-in which I thought meant a separate card. It sounds like I could purchase my mugs at a different resort without a problem but wouldn't be able to wait to get them until the next trip (thought that was a long shot anyways ) Here's hoping the 2009 mugs magically appear in the next couple of weeks

Just wondering......since your free mug credit is on your KTTW card and since technically you are suppose to purchase the mug at your home resort....could another resort maybe decline the purchase???

You know, I suppose they could. We'll be there on QSDP in a couple of weeks - I'm thinking new mugs won't be out anywhere by then (seems like previous years it was March?) but if they are, but not at our resort, I may try to get them from whatever resort has them. Worst case, they won't let me and I'll get 4 more YOAMD to add to our collection. Best case, we'll get new mugs and I can post pics on here!

When I purchased my mug at the end of Jan I was told that I could use it at any resort. This is the first time I"ve purchased mug during any of my trips and I really liked it. I was able to take the mug to the park and pour my remaining lunch soda into it and carry it aroud the park with me. They will let you on rides and in shows with the mug but not a soda cup.
