Okay, NOW I'm confused...:confused3 I had this all straight in my head and then I started reading and it messed me up! :lmao:

So, we are on the QSDP (not free dining because we used a pin code for our cabin) I have two adults, a 7 year old and a 9 year old on the plan. Our two year old is obviously not being charged.

Our first day at Disney we will only manage to eat 1 QS meal each because of our arrival time. This leaves us with two extra QS kids meals and two extra QS adult meals. We also have ADRs at Chef Mickey's that we are paying OOP for. This also leaves us with another two kids QS meals and another two adult QS meals unused since ADRs are at eleven and will be breakfast AND lunch for us that day.

So, my question is this: Can I add these unused credits in at any time? Like if we go to QS and order two adult meals and two kids meals can I order another kids meal and use one of our leftover credits that we got because of our ADR? I thought I could do this and that Disney didn't care HOW you used the credits as long as you were buying the appropriate credits for adults or children. But then I read on this board that if you have 2A/2C on your KTTW card that you could only order 2A/2C meals and no extra? I want to make sure that we are able to add in our unused credits since we paid for them, otherwise it's not worth doing the dining plan. I just figured I could give the two year old the extra meals.

Help! :confused3

You can use the credits at any time, however, you are (in theory) limited to 2 adult and 2 child credits at any one time, based on what your KTTW card says.

There's nothing wrong about using the extra credits they way you suggest, because you're using the food for people in the room, but the system will likely not allow this.

There's nothing stopping you from doing two separate transactions, though, as far as I know, whether at the same location or different locations.

having 2 people order if you are using more than your card allotment at one time; ie ordering 2A/3C when your card says 2A/2C. Its not that you can't use the credits, just not in one order. And remember, you can use your credits in any way you like. They are not "per day" allotments. You could use a whole bunch one day and none the next as you choose. Also, they are valid through midnight of your check out day (even after you check out). We like to save a couple of CS credits to take lunch to the airport with us. We sit in the lovely little court just before Security and enjoy our last Disney meal!

We had this same situation in January and ended up with a few extra credits. My husband and I just went through the line separately and got the extra adult and kid meals to take on the road with us.

We also used an extra kid meal credit that we all shared as a snack one day to keep us from starving until we got to the other park where we wanted to try a specific counter service meal.

As everyone has said, the point is to keep people from cheating the system or buying food for people not on the plan.

We had this problem in June. We didn't know what we would do with the extra credits but it turned out that DH wanted extra for a few meals. When we were at Columbia Harbor House, DH didn't realize how small his meal was so after we all sat down with our food he went back to the counter and ordered another meal. The same thing happend at EOS. He liked the sandwhich so much that he ordered another with no problem.
