I would like to put a "cap" on my vacation so looking into getting the QSDP instead of the DDP. We are a family of 5 (2A, 3K -Disney "adults"). We like to stop for a meal & relax but that doesnt have to be a TS, just somewhere with AC & we are happy. (will be traveling in summer)

If you have gotten the QSDP please comment whether you liked it, worked for your family & where the best CS was for you. Just hoping we won't miss having TS meals this trip. Thanks!:)

We did it last Aug
Pro's:
we ate a great breakfast using a CS at ASMo on the days we paid for a sit down OOP
Con's:
we paid OOP for a few sit down meals

I personally didn't like it. We were hot and tired at the end of the day and would have like to have been served in a restaurant and had better food.

Good CS places we liked-
MK
Columbia Harbor House & Pecos Bills
AK
Pizzafari
Food court at All Stars was a great place to eat- lots of choices- food was pretty good and everyone found something they liked.

I haven't done it but my family (DH, DDs & MIL) used it on a recent visit where I could not go (due to a funeral I had to attend). Previously we had done the reg. DDP and enjoyed it. DH said he really liked the QSDP because of the flexibility of it (being able to eat when and here they wanted instead of having to work around ADRs) and he said they spent more time at the resort and ate at the resort dinning room more often then we usually do and enjoyed that as well. HTH! :)

My sister and I took a quick 6 day trip last December and got the quick service dining since it was only the 2 of us. WE LOVED IT!
Loved the flexibility of eating when we were hungry instead of when we had to. No rushing around to get to a reservation. We had more than enough food and choice and didn't have a single burger the whole time. We found alot of variety with quick service. And there was still TOO MUCH food for the 2 of us...

Just a few of our favourites... : )
Magic Kingdom - Main Street Bakery (morning ham & cheese croissants), Peco Bills (taco salad), Pinochio Village Haus (salad)
Animal Kingdom - Restaurantosaurus (taco salad)
Hollywood Studios - Starring Rolls (ham & cheese sandwich)
Epcot - (so many) France (cheese plate/quiche/ham&cheese baguette & pastries), UK (fish&chips), Japan (teriyaki chicken & ginger cake), China (egg rolls), Norway (sandwiches & pastries), Mexico (tacos, nachos & churros)
Polynesian - Captain Cook's (adult grilled cheese, stir fried noodles)
Port Orleans - Riverside Mill (build your own pasta, grilled chicken, create your own salad)
French Quarter - Sassagoula Floatworks (cheese steak, chicken parm, grilled chicken, meatball sub, taco salad)
Pop Century - Everything Pop Food Court (steak & cheese wraps, build your own pasta, nightly dinner specials, flatbreads)
Downtown Disney - Earl of Sandwich (any sandwich)
Downtown Disney - Wolfgang Puck Express (pasta, pizzas, sandwiches & creme brulee)

Interesting as nicolepdonnelly didn't like it. My pros and cons are the same as the above but we love it and are using it for the third year in a row in September. The only reason we pay for some OOP TS is that we go for at least 2 weeks (upcoming trip is 15 nights) so it is nice to have a few sit downs here and there.

I find too many ADRs too restrictive and they force me to eat when I could get a reservation, not necessarily when I am actually hungry. Fair enough on the odd day but not for 2 weeks solid. Also, doing the math, it was no cheaper to upgrade than it was to book our ADRs OOP anyway.

Thanks!

I think I will plan 2 TS meals. We are staying 12 nights but will have 10 day base tickets. I thought the QSDP would cover all 12 nights even though we only have 10 day tickets , correct? I saw a note here on the main dining board that showed a limit of 10 days? Hmmm.:teacher:
