QSDP and big eaters

We are going to DW soon  with some friends. We are getting the free QSDP, which has always been plenty for us, but I'm a bit concerned our friends might be bigger eaters than us. Are there any big eaters out there who have done fine on the QSDP or did you end up buying extra food/meal during the day? For us, once we are in the heat we find that sharing meals so that we have 3 meals a day works great for us...... I just want them to have fun and enjoy themselves, but not break their bank!

I don't consider myself a big eater and I usually get the deluxe dining plan when I'm at WDW. I usually only eat two meals a day(so I'm typically very hungry by dinner) and I think I eat better at the TS restaurants.

I think the more important question is are your friends the type who would eat 3 fast food meals a day(hamburgers, chicken, fries, etc.--I know there's more of a selection, but you get the idea)? If they are, then you should be fine. Since the plan is free, they can also just buy any additional food they may want if they get hungry.

That is kind of what I was thinking. I mean we are getting free dining, so if we have to buy any food, we are still coming out ahead.....or at least that's how I look at it! :)

My husband and I consider ourselves big eaters and the QSDP is more than enough for us with a few additions. We do bring a few things with us to eat in the room for a small breakfast (poptarts, fruit, etc.) We also usually end up with a lot of snacks in the room that we've brought back at the end of the day. Those are either eaten throughout our stay or thrown away.

I think your friends will be just fine with the QSDP. Be sure to share the allears.net website with them and let them look over some menus prior to the trip to let them know that counter service doesn't just mean burgers and fries!

Have a great time!

I have travelled with 2 teenagers who are healthy eaters and the QS always works for us. I do book at least one table service which leaves us with the extra meals. If really hungry, we head to restaurants that give heavier meals (like Pepper Market or Wolfgang Puck).

It was enough for us, although I would say we are average eaters. If you are going in the hotter months, sometimes it seems to hot to eat a lot anyway. Take them to Coronado Springs for the lunch buffet and they will get filled up there. It is one QS credit and includes a beverage.
