QS meals to share?

It has 8 giant chicken nuggets/tenders (can't even really call them nuggets) and a large amount of fries. It's double what one person should be eating for a meal, IMO.

JMHO which I am allowed to present. And I learned a long time ago that "should" is a useless word. I "should" clean my house after work tonight, but I will not. It is used to generate guilt. I can eat most or all of a nugget meal and I am small in stature and only weigh 125 pounds. So I am entitled to my opinion without debate, as you are yours.

The corndog nuggets with fries at Casey's are very shareable.
You really think so? ...in my opinion, there's just no way. Not as a meal. As a shareable snack, sure.

I disagree. I don't think it is large enough to share and I have an average to small appetite
I agree, definitely not large enough for two to share. If your looking for a snack, fine. But to serve as a meal for two? Nope!

Sorry but you cannot tell people what amount of food they SHOULD be eating. I've had the nugget meal and let me tell you, thats not enough for the average person to share. As i said, if youre looking for a snack or an extremely light meal, then fine. But the portion isnt enough to fill up two people.

I dunno, a couple weeks ago we got a whole ton of those things on a plate. I ate more than half and was totally stuffed. And I don't have a bird's appetite!

When i got mine, they gave it to me in a cup. Not a plate. There wasnt much in the cup. Sounds like you got a ton! In your case, with fries, yes its sharable. In my case, there's no way. :)

It was a lot more than I was expecting, for sure. I told my son he only had to eat 4 and I got stuck with the rest. But that makes it a pretty decent value for the price.

EIGHT chicken tenders and a PILE of fries is enough for two average people - or at least one person who eats unnecessarily large portions. It is not a snack or a light meal. :lmao:

A snack?! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

 Lucky you, those are yummy! Definitely sounds like you got a good amount for two.

Did you not read what I just wrote above?? Let me repeat.....you CANNOT tell people or assume that 8 nuggets and fries are enough for two to share. YOU CANNOT. If its enough for you, CONGRATULATIONS! Im very happy for you. But you are ASSUMING and INSISTING that its enough. Im simply telling you that is not the case for everyone. Dont lecture others on how much is enough and how much isnt. I dont eat grotesque portions of food....yet i found that meal to be small for two AVERAGE people to share. Whatever. Thats just my opinion.

Be Our Guest - carved turkey sandwich and pomme frites is definitely shareable. I did this with my adult daughter last week. We added a side order of pomme frites for only $2.09 so we wouldn't fight over the fries on the plate.

These threads always crack me up and also feel a little guilty about my eating habits. When DH and I go to WDW, we always get our own meals at QS. We might leave some fries, but we finish the entree part.

There are a lot of food shamers on the Dis. People that swear they can eat one chicken nugget and 2 fries and be stuffed to gills and make sure they make the rest of us feel bad about eating the entire meal.

Another HUGE meal, and not really more expensive than QS, is the nachos from Rainforest Cafe. I usually hate chain restaurants and I'm not generally super excited about junk/fast food, but man, those things and a few drinks at the not very crowded bar is way more food than 2 people can eat, and it's super yummy. The plastic cheese on the tri colored, super salty chips is delicious!

FWIW (and that isn't much!), I don't think that anyone should get upset either way if someone thinks a portion is big, or small. I find WDW potions enormous for a single meal, but that doesn't mean I think a darn thing about what others are eating one way or the other. I eat what I want when I want and tend to do more frequent, smaller meals. Its vacation, if you want to eat 6 entrees, do it. If anyone wants to comment that they couldn't possibly eat this or that, that's cool too. Personally, I hate the feeling of being overly full, so tend to eat less. Other people like fewer large meals. Who cares? None of us are right or wrong. Its just incredibly subjective. But I want to hear that anyone has eaten that entire nacho plate at RFC by themselves. That'd be seriously impressive, like Man vs. Food impressive!

I just 'love' these threads when people talk about the 'huge' portions and what others should be satisfied with. :P

What each person eats is based on so many variables. Dh & I aren't big snackers, nor do we drink alcoholic beverages (both that are full of calories and fill you up). When we eat, we are 'hungry' for 'food', so no sharing with us. We are both on the small side and we don't find the portions 'huge' at all - usually just very satisfying.

So, actually it's a family by family basis, and what you are consuming between meals that will determine how many calories you want/need. We also only drink water with our meals, so that isn't filling either.

Great suggestions on this thread! Most that I thought of were mentioned.

As for getting offended over what someone on a message board thinks you "should" eat? Who cares???

We shared a burger and fries at Cosmic Rays and at Beaches and Cream, the ham and cheese sandwich with fries at BOG, the Nutella waffle at MK, the half chicken and ribs at AK, and a bounty platter breakfast at the resort. We also like to share fried rice at Y&Y and then each get our own egg roll.

Actually, they don't make me feel bad at all. You can believe that saying they eat so little is made up with other foods and beverages at other times during the day!! Not my issue! :-)

I truly think the vast majority of all quick service meals are large enough to share, especially since then you have room to try a snack a little later.
