We are headed to Disney in September for 8 days. We plan to be at other attractions 2 of the days but still have the DP for 8 days. We would like to grab a QS meal to go, which is going to have to consist of cold sandwiches and anything else that we can just stick in a cooler. First of all I was wondering where the best place to grab a sandwich would be. (we are staying at the All Star Movies Resort and do not plan on entering Theme Parks these two days) I'm assuming just going to the Market at our resorts food court would be best? What would all be included in a QS meal from the Market? Would would an entree possibly consist of???? I would think maybe a muffin or fruit could be my desert???

If you go to the top of the page and click on Dining you can get to the Restaurant menu selector. They have a list of foods available at the food court.

HOWEVER, I'm assuming that you will want to leave for the other parks early in the morning. I may be wrong, but I believe that the selection of lunch/dinner options at the Market is pretty slim till after breakfast. According to the posted menu, Sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruit and cheese plates are are possibilities (these would be your entrees). To make a QS meal, they often add chips and a beverage.

My advice is to check out what's available in the early morning on your first or second day and plan accordingly. Could you buy everything late on the evening before, and keep things in your cooler in your room?

You can hit Earl of Sandwich in DTD before you head out.

If you have to leave too early in the morning to get a QS meal that day and have to keep something over from the night before, my best suggestion is to get it from the QS Patisserie in France/Epcot. They have ham or turkey sandwiches on long crusty loaves of bread and your choice of any of the pastries in the case for dessert.

The biggest plus is that unlike most of the other QS places, they do not have the condiments already on the sandwich - you pick them up in little packets at the end of the line. This will be a big help in keeping the bread from getting soggy or the sandwich from spoiling (nothing ruins your vacation like some mayo that went bad ). You can also pick cookies, muffins, or pastries without cream fillings that will keep well overnight. Just bring an assortment of ziplock baggies with you to keep stuff fresh in your cooler overnight.

Gosh! I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!! Thank you all!!! You really gave me some great ideas. Never would have thought about the Market not having sandwiches in the monring, never thought about heading downtown first.....we heard Earl of Sandwich was good but I didn't know they were located Downtown Disney. (perfect since we didn't want to use one of our park passes) Also...knowing that the restaurant at Epcot has condiments in packets....PERFECT for future info!!!! THANKS TO ALL!!!!!

I highly advise you pack a box of zipper bags. Also, you might want to pack some plastic containers because if you are thinking of fruit or a muffin for dessert, you don't want it to become flattened or smooshed. Since you are going to other attractions, I'm going to assume you have a car of some sort so you can easily go to the nearby Publix grocery store and pick these things up instead of packing them. Although you could put your clean socks and under things into zipper bags and plastic containers when you pack them. Fairly easy to do.

The Boardwalk Bakery is also great for this. They have great sandwiches and we use the dessert we get with it for breakfast the next morning. It is a short walk out of Epcot or you can drive there the night before, get your food and enjoy the entertainment on the boardwalk for a while.
I second the zip locs. They have been a lifesaver for us for saving food for later.
