this is what happens when I get too busy to play vmk for like two weeks,
so let me get this straight, you pay to get into dark rides(do you get to see yourself in the dark rides?) and you might get a pin.

There was just a bug yesterday that let you get 750 credits from jungle cruise periodically. Dunno if it will keep that way today.

One thing to not about the dark rides is that the 100+ furniture in it makes it LAG so it takes some time to go for a ride.

My favorite effect is in peter pan. It's when you pass behind the small pirate ship and it shoots cannons.

It's fun when the room is crouded and somebody passes by when the affect starts then you can scream Fire!!.

I guess it was my lucky day yesterday. Rode 3x and received 2 magics. First one didn't work, second one I was able to pull the sword out and get my pin. Now I can ride just for fun

I LOVE flying over London on the Peter Pan ride!! Incredible!!!

I rode all day yesterday and didn't get anything so I gave up. After supper I decided to try it a few more times and on the first try I got my magic, and pulled the sword out of the stone. Today I decided to try it with my other charactor and I won 3 magic's in a total of 11 rides. I havn't tried to pull the sword out with any of them yet. But I certainly agree with all of you, these rides will destroy our credits if we keep doing it repeatedly. I'm a bit tight anyway when it comes to my credits so I don't figure I'll be spending alot of days riding over and over unless they change the prizes often..

Well I've given up. We have payed for 40 rides on each of the new rides on all seven of ours characters for a total of 5600 credits. We haven't even gotten a sword pin to be able to even get a chance at the teacup pin. DD is devastated. Alice is her favorite Disney character and the teacup ride at WDW is the favorite for DD and DH. This is really unfair VMK. At least let the pin be available for purchase!!

Unfortunately Since1971, I don't think they're concerned whether it's seen as "fair" or not (see Sparrow for a great example of that). Probably just another thing to try and keep players playing/a gimmick. It's a shame because the rides are wonderful, and this does detract from them because it's frustrating (and to a child, I can see how upsetting it would be, especially).

Personally, I've ridden each ride 7 times. I got 3 magic pins (2 on Peter Pan and 1 on Alice). No winner so far.

No, they probably don't care whether it is fair or not, but at least I have the option of continuing to play their game and spend hard earned credits and I chose not to continue. I am going to write to them, though. Sometimes taking the time to voice an opinion does matter.

I, too, would rather just have the rides for themselves and it not be a matter of a contest to get this pin. The rides are good enough on their own. What winds up happening is that the whole thing causes such frustration in the kids that the game is supposed to be for that they just stop playing which defeats the purpose. With the Sparrow costume game, it didn't cost any credits. This does and for kids who aren't allowed to sit and play VMK all day, those credits are too valuable to waste.....all for a virtual pin. I would rather spend the money at WDW and let DD ride the actual ride and get a real pin

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! I have been riding the ride all afternoon, and I saved up 5 magic pins, and when I went to do them, I pulled the sword out two times in a row!!!!

Yay!! I did I finally won! After riding the rides all morning I finally got around noon! I got like 6 pins all morning and used them each time and on the last one I got it!

Then we went to work on my DH... He rode over and over and finally 3 hours later (4:00pm) and he got his! Yea!

So you really can get it just have to keep riding! But we didn't loose any credits as we kept getting our music and I ned JC! So keep trying!

I agree with Since, these Dark Rides are great, it's too bad their Awesomeness is worn out by the boredom and frustration required to get a silly pin. I think the new Tea Party pin is nifty and would really like one. So far I've had time for 146 Rides (mixed between the two). I've received 18 Sword in the Stone magic pins. And zero Tea Party pins. That's 1460 credits down the drain...

And still I sit and ride... It's sad really because I don't care about the Dark Rides anymore. They have no novelty or beauty or interest for me. By the time I get a Tea Party pin I'll have no desire to ever ride them again.

Way to go VMK - Nice that you managed to make a new feature to burn out your players.
