Q for those who've requested specific dining rotation

Did you make this request through your TA prior to cruise date?....or did you request change of your existing rotation once onboard....also, were you easily granted your request?

Our family ( 13 of us ) is going on the MAGIC July 10. I called about a month ago and just wanted to make sure we were seated together in the dining room. I said I'd like to request the PLA rotation and she said she couldn't promise BUT we would prob get it cause it is the least requested rotation. Good luck and happy cruising. By the way, this was DCL that I spoke with.

We requested a specific dining rotation twice before we sailed thru DCL directly and got it once....

Another time we requested a change onboard and we received it.

We did request PLA ahead of time and got it. It was nice cause as people have mentioned before, you are in Lumiere's for Formal night and Parrot Cay for Tropical night.

We requested APL so we could be in Lumiere's for Monday-Formal night. We requested it with the REAS pkg. Worked out perfect. Also it was neat to be in Animator's Palate that first night to see the colors change Kids thought that was so cool

PLA is the least requested on the Western, but MOST requested on the Eastern because of Lumiere's/Parrot Cay on formal/tropical nights,

APL is the MOST requested on the Western for the same reason.

Both are considered the "kid's" rotations. If you get early dining, lots of kids in it, same for late too. LAP has the least amount of kids placed in it.

You can request your preference, but if you don't get it don't worry. Go to dining changes as soon as you board. If the ship is not full, you will probably get what you want with no problem.

I think I am going to request APL rotation on upcoming Eastern...we've received this rotation on all our cruises except the most recent (we have 2 little DSs).....for some reason, we were assigned PTA on our 3 day last Jan...

I like this rotation for the 7 day b/c Captains Gala night rotation restaurant is Lumieres...IMO, I dont like dining in AP or PC on formal nights b/c of the casual atmosphere...I think we'll opt for Palo Sunday night, which is first formal night, since rotation is PC...
