Q+C worth the money

Hi,

I wonder if the Q-C vouchers are worth the money. AFAIK you can use them mostly at counter service restaurant. When I look at the menus and add the prices it comes to 12-14$...but the vouchers are around 17$.
Did I get something wrong?

May you list examples of food you got for them?

Hi Renate,
For the most part, the vouchers only save money at a few restaurants: Beaches'NCream (Boardwalk Resort), Pepper Market, (Coronado Springs), Tangierine Cafe (Morocco), and maybe one or two others. We save money using the vouchers by splitting a meal. Because they include an entree, side dish, beverage, and dessert...there's usually more than enough for two. Give them a try and see if you like them, just don't get too carried away with the number you order. BTW, I have yet to find any location at MGM Studios where the vouchers save any money at all...you are lucky if you break even using them there.

In my opinion, the vouchers in general are not a great bargain. They cost much more than a standard counter service meal and include food you normally might not eat like dessert.

They limit your choices if you're trying to get the best deal with them. You may be able to make up your money at Beaches and Cream, but what if you're not in the mood to eat there or it's not convenient? Plus, I would be obessed with ordering enough get my money's worth, whether it's what I actually wanted or not. Who wants to spend their vacation eating stir-fry when they really want a hamburger because the stir fry costs a dollar more?

If you're looking for prepaid dining, the meal plan is a much better deal.
