Just double checking...the original EYWTKA vouchers thread is GREAT but has become too long to be readable/manageable...So, it seems that at Beaches and Cream you can order anything for a meal but since it comes with fries, that is the side dish? And at Tangierine Cafe you can get a platter (which comes with rice) AND an aditional side? Can't tell if frozen drinks are available on voucher at B&C or not, don't really care BUT will the let DH get a malt for his dessert? Is there really anything consistant about what IS and what ISN'T a side, or does it really depend on the cast member. ALSO...at Cosmic Ray's can you get the family chicken dinner? Do youthink 3 Q&C for 3 adults and a 10yo girl will be enough for Tangierine Cafe? I think we'll get DD her own Q&C for B&C...kids burger, drink, sundae will probably work out to aout the same $$$ but voucher incls. tax and tip, yes?

In answer to your questions:
1. At B&C you can substitute something else for the fries. I usually get the onion rings.
2. The milkshakes and malts are eligible for the beverage along with they typical soda selections.
3. at Cosmis Ray's the Family dinner is no longer offered. In place of it, cosmic Ray's now has a combo dinner of 1/2 chicken and a slab of ribs including mashed potatoes. French Fries can be substitued for the mashed potatoes. Be advised that the substitute vegetable is carrots, lots andlots of carrots.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

I just came back from a trip and used vouchers at Beaches and Cream and Tangierine Cafe. At Beaches, I ordered a chocolate shake. It counted as my dessert. I could have also ordered another drink but did not. I had no problem substituting onion rings for the fries.

Keep in mind that the shakes and many other ice cream desserts have three scoops of Edy's Grand ice cream. These are so big that sharing is a great way to go. Even when I share the double burger and dessert with my husband, we can't finish it all.

At Tangierine, I was able to get the shwarma platter, an extra side of couscous, a frozen tangerine drink and baklava for dessert. This is plenty of food for two adults. I would never be able to eat it all myself. The portions are quite large.

The old coupons specifically mentioned that frozen drinks were excluded. The new ones do not. I was unable to get a frozen drink in the past at Tangierine, but had no problem this time.

Do these vouchers save money? I'm tweaking my budget and food seems to be the only place I can. (i e hotel and tickets are in stone) How much $ for a typical counter service lunch should i allot? For a family of 5, Mom, Dad, 3 kids (11,9,7). The 11 year old doensn't eat much, but his 9 year sister sure can. Would we save any money with these vouchers? Can anyone help? I realize you are just guessing, I won't hold you to it!

I believe you can save money if you are:

1. A big eater and like desserts or

2. You are willing to share meals. Most portions are enough for two.

If you don't fit into these catagories I would suggest you just order what you want off the menu. You will probably come out futher ahead.

We are going to be using the vouchers for the first time on our upcoming trip. We don't usually eat much counter service, but it seems like a good deal, if you select the restaurants in advance. We have a family of 3 (DH, DS(12) & me) and will be using 2 at B&C & Pepper Market, and DH & I will share 1 at a resort prior to afternoon tea. DS will be using his own. From everything I've read, a family of 2 adults, & 3 kids, could easily share 3 vouchers at B&C, PM, Tangerine Cafe, & Cosmic Rays and come away more than satisfied. There may be more. Maybe someone else can help with more suggestions. If you decide to share the vouchers, it is really a good deal. Plus you get dessert at every meal, which you normally wouldn't have, making the meals a special, vacation treat. They can be used for lunch & dinner. If you choose the eateries wisely, and don't mind alot of counter service, you could save alot. We're also ordering 2 VKL vouchers for dinner at RFC, to share between the 3 of us. From everything I've read, you could probably order 1 adult & 2 child VKL vouchers, and have more than enough food for the 5 of you. Hope this helped. :wave2:

leebee,
As I said earlier, from everything I've read, you should have plenty of food to share with your DD at B&C, unless you just want to get her a seperate meal. :wave2:

Have you checked out the menus on Deb's site?

Although we have used vouchers many times, we haven't used them at Tony's Town Square for quite awhile. Can anyone tell me if you can order a starter from the "Panini, Pizze & Insalate" section of the menu or must you order your starter from the "Primi Piatti" section?

We are using VKL vouchers and would like to try their antipasto. We would appreciate any comments about recent visits to Tony's as well.

Thanks:)

We used Q & C vouchers for our trip in October at the Pepper Market, Beaches and Cream and the Tangierine Cafe. IMHO the best deal for the best food quality wise was the Tangierine Cafe. The food there was VERY good. We used 1 voucher and had enough food for 2 adult and 1 child (aged 8). We got the lamb and chicken sharma platter which came with the meat and side AND got an extra side - we choose fries (which was a huge order), LARGE soda, and a chocolate/peanut butter mouselike cake. VERY yummy.

At Beaches and Cream the malt/shakes are considered a dessert.

We found them to be a great deal at the food court at the hotel (POP), where just about everything is ala carte. I typically got a entree, a side which was fruit and cheese platter, salad, fries or something else from the cooler, a large drink or large milk and a dessert. The total would usually come to around $16-17.00. DS and I shared the meals and it was plenty for us. Oh and we did get the chicken and ribs combo at Cosmic Rays ($13.99) at the MK which was really the best value out of all the theme parks IMO.
