Hi! this is a great site. Love WDW and am seriously considering a DVC purchase. But I love the Polynesian and wonder if there are any plans in the future for vacation club rooms there. Hate to buy now and find out later that there are some at the Poly. :flower2:

Hi, feelingroovy. Welcome to the DIS. You should check out the DVC boards for tons of DVC rumors and speculation.

Don't think you will see it there. Buy BWV it's great there. All the DVC are great. :wizard:

Thanks!! I've only walked around the boardwalk. I kind of got the impression from reading all the posts that BWV was top on the list. You confirmed it. I like to get experienced DVC owners opinions.

I noticed that you can only buy SSR directly from Disney. Is there any down side to buying from resale company? Is there one that you can recommend or that you have had experience with?

If you stop in at the DVC boards, you see that The Timeshare Store is the sponsor. My husband and I bought our resale through them and we were both thrilled with the service.

Rumors are just that, rumors. There are tons of rumors about a DVC at the Contemporary, in California, in Hawaii, at AKL, and yes, even at the Poly. But I will say that it doesn't appear the Poly is high on the list.

The only drawback of buying through resale is that Disney has the Right of First Refusal (ROFR). That means even though you make an offer, they have the right to buy it out from under you, and you have to start over again. We worked with Jason at TSS, and he helped us make an offer that had a good chance of passing ROFR, and still be economical for us. But no one can really predict when Disney will buy back a property.

There's lots of info in the DVC boards, so stop in and lurk a while.
