Px90

whoops, forgot about p90x+, I can see why you would be confused!!

I am also getting reeled in by the P90X infomercials! (And I am getting bored with my dreadmill.)

What is the nutrition plan like? Is it extremely low carb, low fat, high protein?

I did some googling and found the pre-test for the P90x workout. I can do everything except the pull-ups, so I think I would be ok with the workouts, but am not so sure about the diet (I am a carbaholic).

The nutrition plan is in 3 phases... the first of which would be low carb high protein. It basically has you do a month of low carbs to burn fat, then the second month you add some back and the third even more. I've heard good feedback and bad on the nutrition plan. I personally don't like it... I don't think the book really does a good job explaining it, so I'm just essentially trying to avoid carbs (1 a day is what the plan allows), and get plenty of protein and vegetables. I'm not following it exactly as it is in the book, but I've been trying to eat smart and a week into it I've lost 4 pounds.

I just started P90X again. I have two failed attempts at it so far. The first I wasn't really into it and only last a few weeks. The last one I made it until week 7 before dislocating my shoulder while playing Ultimate Frisbee and well, that sidelined me.

I am on day 3 of P90X lean program. Little background: I am 25/m, 5'10.5" 190lbs. I have never not been "pudgy" as I put it. I am not fat but just touch overweight on BMI. I want to be "normal" on BMI, thats it. My goal is to lose 10-15 lbs.

You sound like me! Ultimate has been both my motivating factor and down fall for P90X. I have played competitively for the last few years and I feel like P90X is a great way to get in shape for it, but once it starts, I get sidelined with Ultimate injuries...plus I play 3 days a week and that makes it hard to fit in the required hr+ of P90X each day. Good luck this go around!
