PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Question - I have 2 resale contracts, but I'd like to buy a small amount of direct points (around 50 give or take) to bank and borrow and use at some restricted resorts when there's availability (am pretty flexible with travel dates and resort location and usually take shorter trips, so don't need to be locked into any particular resort.) Am I correct in thinking that for a small contract now would be the best time to buy since there will never be any incentives for a contract that small and prices will only go up on the base pricing as the years go by? I really don't care about any of the blue card perks, but I'd like to know that I can stay at any resort as more are built. And I feel like Poly is the best choice of direct resorts on sale now because of it's lower dues and it's high desirability/non-restricted status if I ever need to sell it or rent some points out.

Anything under a 100 is a safe bet to buy now.

I think sales have been going pretty well - the remote notary option is scheduling 8-10 days out right now.

Also, FYI, the guide mentioned online booking options on the 15th, so I think it will be possible. But if you want a "welcome home" reservation, you're going to need to call regardless.

FWIW, the remote notary was booking about that far out back in June for us, too. Not sure if they needed a specific notary since we are in CA, but we had a wait. We bought on June 19 and the earliest option for us back then was on June 29. I think June and July were fairly solid months for sales. (In July, Riviera had its best month since March 2020.)

I don't doubt sales are going well though. It's the Poly!

Since everyone else was busy getting gas and groceries before the storm 🤷🏼‍♀️ I printed mine out and had it notarized at the bank this morning. They were a bit surprised to see me. 🤣 🤣🤣

Does every direct purchase need a notary or just financing? Can you supply your own, or do you need to wait and use the remote service they offer?

Our purchase this summer wasn't financed but it did need a notary so we just used the online notary through them. I think all direct purchases may be requiring them now.

You can supply your own. I think it’s only financed contracts but it may vary by state. Most people just use the virtual because it’s included and easy. You also get your points immediately after making a deposit so I can’t think of a benefit of having it notarized sooner. I’m just waiting a week

I think all purchases need a notary now, but this is new. We bought in 2022, one financed and one paid in full. One notary appointment for only the financed. Now, it made me schedule an appointment for my 25 point cash contract.
I would absolutely use the online one, it’s included and super simple, I don’t need to leave my desk and takes 5 minutes.

Oh yeah now I remember that law
It’s very easy to do without using the Mobil notary. When you docu-sign the paperwork in the email that quality control sends you, the very top has a button for the Mobil notary. You can select “print at home” and it will redirect you to a site that you enter your contract number into and it generates a fedex label. I went to the bank, then went across the street to Walgreens and dropped it off. It took less than 1/2 hour.

I paid cash and my points were loaded before I got home from the preview center 🤣 They don’t even wait for the docusign.

Speaking of the 15th, what time are we supposed to call to book with our new points, 8 a.m. EST? Regular member services number, nothing weird?
