PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Apparently, yesterday was the first public showing of the Island Tower rooms. He claims to have stayed an extra day because of the hurricane. DVC sent him an invite to tour so his family opted to go. He posted this yesterday. Doesn't mention where he was.

Their family gives their opinion.
Yesterday was the first DVC Polynesian board meeting and there were only a handful of us there. Nobody invited us to go tour the rooms. You would think that showing up in a hurricane would impresses them enough to give you something that costs them nothing. I was sitting in the room with the DVC board, the general manager of Poly, and a few DVC guides and not one person mentioned the rooms being ready. From his longer YouTube video it looks like he was at Saratoga.

This video is making me feel better about the overall size of the rooms. I was worried the kitchen and sitting area would feel tight, but this seemed pretty spacious given both the queen Murphy bed and the single Murphy bed were pulled down, and someone was comfortably standing in-between them with room to spare. Factor in the extra bathroom in the 1 bedroom they managed to squeeze in, and I'm starting to think they'll be pretty popular.

In the original video's comments, he responds to a question asking where this took place. He confirms it is at Saratoga.

It never made any sense that they permanently closed the SSR center. I’m guessing what happened is that they ripped out / replaced either the Riviera or Aulani rooms and closed it while they did. DLT and PVB2 are higher priority.

SSR would probably require an appointment because I have no idea how to get in there.
SSR takes walk-ins but you may have to wait. If you have an appointment, you don’t have to wait. It’s also more straightforward to get through the front gate with an appointment if you were driving because they will just have you on the list, although historically at Saratoga Springs, if you wanted to go to the DVC preview center, you could just tell the guard that, and they would wave you in. It’s probably the least particular resort with parking on the entire property.

Saratoga kinda feels like a solo mission, not much excitement for the folks I force to accompany me 🤣 I’ll make an appointment some random weekday.

I was in a meeting today where the sales team left because we started talking about future releases. Experienced sales teams don’t want the info until they need it.

Wouldn't an experienced sales team want the most information so they can do best by their customer?

Nope - they only want to know what they are supposed to be selling. When the next product or the upgrade is ready for them to sell then they expect and get training and information.

Some of us never stopped! Because nothing says rustic wilderness retreat like a 10-story tower than looks just like the last two or three.

I do wonder which will be worse -- the dissonance between the PIT and Longhouses, or the dissonance between Reflections and Wilderness Lodge. They'll have similar themes, and really throw into relief how truly lousy and boring Disney architecture has become.
Can you imagine sitting out on the patio of your cabin or even sitting around a camp fire and over the tops of the trees is a big tower hotel. lol

Where is this? Is this a mock-up over at Disney Springs?
He doesn't say. It may be at Saratoga Springs preview center.
Isn’t it at the new Tower??
The views out the window shows different angles of the Lagoon and Magic Kingdom in the background.

I finally got the call from my sales rep today as he had just come back from vacation. He wanted to update me on all the new poly sales info, not knowing I already knew about it thanks to you all here. I had asked him about the exact breakdown of rooms and their corresponding views, to which he claimed he did not know. Unsure what to make of that as I’m not 100% sure I believe him. He pushed back on why I would want to know that, and so I explained how if I’m going to buy direct, then I need to know the breakdown to understand how realistic it is to snag a standard 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom vs having to settle for preferred at more points. He did not seem to like my response.

Is the room and view breakdown something we can expect to find out on October 1st?

Every salesperson wants an emotional buyer.

Educated and measured buyers are much more difficult and take a lot more time and energy.

It's gonna be as few standards as possible, as many theme park as possible, and the rest preferred in order to squeeze points out of members. A decent starting guess would probably be something like the BLT breakdown. From an older thread the view breakdown for BLT was 11% SV, 69% LV & 20% MK. Maybe even a bit worse
