PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Yes; these are what we have too. They are SO much faster than the old elevators due to increased efficiency.
They are more efficient and more secure (assuming you have to swipe a key card to get assigned an elevator bay in the first place), though if that’s the only security they use to keep non-tower guests out of the garden hole lookouts, I’m not sure it’s going to stop tailgaters.

And of course, as a final bonus, you don’t get kids (and drunks) pushing all 10 floors for funsies.

I saw the rooms today, and did the paperwork for my points. My guide mentioned that the Tower will have the same elevator system that Pixar Place has in California. No buttons on the inside 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve never seen an elevator with no buttons on the inside.
Oh no! That is the WORST elevator system ever designed by man 🤦🏻‍♀️ We stayed at Pixar Place for Labor Day weekend and loved everything about our stay EXCEPT the elevators. Sometimes we stood there for 10 minutes waiting for our elevator. When there was NOBODY else waiting. I can’t even imagine it at PIT when there are tons of guests staying there. They should have used the VDH elevator technology - we never wait longer than 1 minute for an elevator there!

We also had issues at Pixar with the elevator. We waited probably 5 minutes or more for an elevator. We were the only ones on that floor and it was a mid morning weekday and not busy. It was frustrating.

Talked to two DVC reps at the kiosks yesterday and today and they were both adamant that sales have started off pretty hot. Of course take that for what it's worth. I mean what else would they say...but I believe them.
The first week was always going to be good or good-ish. But it’s going to take two or three years of solid sales, at minimum, to sell all the points. After the first round of enthusiastic buying ends, that will be the time to look at how well or how poorly this is actually going. Plus “ starting off pretty hot” doesn’t necessarily mean they met their actual targets for this period. I think the cards are gonna be held pretty close to the chest for a while.

I was curious about sales as well - my appointment with my guide was at 1 on Oct 1st…..I was his fourth sale so far. He said sales were going ‘like crazy’…do I believe him? Time will tell if it’s a blip or a trend or wishful thinking….

100% agreed! We always knew the first week or two of sales would be good to great due to all the excitement and would be buyers who were buying no matter what the price was. What happens in the next 1.5 - 3 months is where we’ll really see just how well sales are truly going.

Might initial sales surge last longer than normal?
  • October 1 was existing members. Some extending the close in later months.
  • October 15 booking but rumors of Disney allowing developer inventory to add on buyers?
  • October 29 new members can purchase.
  • Tons of advertising for sequel to one of the most streamed movies in history.
  • November 27 Moana 2 opens in theaters.
  • December 17 Island Tower opens.
  • Millions riding past the tower from now until opening.
Perhaps luck or perhaps a brilliant marketing strategy?

Additionally, Fed lowering rates caused a refinance surge.

Unfortunate part of starting sales this late in the year is major hurricane potential. Helping Ohana always comes first.

All the DVC promo mailings including the new Poly mailing came to me and not DH. This guide is smart 😂 I’m the one who reached out to him to buy our first direct contract. Even though by the end of that call it was DH handing over the payment info, my guide must’ve figured out who made the decision it was a good time to buy. Lol.

Now I’m trying to decide if we never got the mailer, if it’s in the mail, or if my husband saw it and intercepted it before for it could get to me. 🤣

If it doesn’t come in the next few days maybe it was that last option lol

That what I did with the Cabins mailing when sales opened  He already mentioned not interested but I wasn’t taking the chance..
