PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

I had checked the point chart when it was released and knew that it was going to be expensive, but even with that got sticker shock yesterday when looking at the points when checking the booking tool.

Even the duos were super expensive. I like riviera duos but I really don’t like the sink layout of these.

Looks like early declared inventory looks something like this:

14 - Tower Standard villas - Duos
2 - Tower Preferred - Duos
4 - Tower Premium - Duos
34 - Standard Deluxe Studios
8 - Preferred Deluxe Studios
25 - Theme Park View Deluxe Studios
15 - 1 Bedroom Standard Views
4 - 1 Bedroom Preferred Views
20 - 1 Bedroom Theme Park Views
0 - 2 Bedroom Standards (Dedicated)
0 - 2 Bedroom Preferred (Dedicated)
3 - 2 Bedroom Theme Park Views (Dedicated)
1 - Penthouse Preferred
1 - Penthouse Theme Park
I think these numbers are a little off.

There are only 26 1 bedroom units (Your numbers show 39) but there are 46 Lock-off units and 40 Dedicated 2 Bedrooms.
My guess is your numbers are pulling from lock-offs.
Not sure why the official paperwork only shows 1 bathroom in the 1 bedroom and 2 in the 2 bedroom.

I'm actually glad people are booking here. I don't personally see my family staying in these cabins so it basically just opens up more availability at 7 months at other resorts. It also gives people like you said an opportunity to save points and get larger accommodations if they're willing to sacrifice location.
I'm the opposite. I own PVB points and actually, would rather use them at CFW.

That said, we drive every time, so that probably makes a big difference...

Perfect, I’ll take your place at Poly :p we didn’t drive when we weren’t locals so location is very important to us and will be again once we leave here. Idk I’m just not a fan of the layout although I’d love to bring our dog to the resort.

You can have it and I'll keep all of the extra points saved :) Honestly, kidding aside, our PVB stays that we do in the future will probably be in the longhouses as those studios have more space.

As an aside, as one that thinks most of the properties are all about the same (park proximity doesn't hold a lot of value to us, because they are all closer to or farther from one park or another), SSR, AKV, or OKW even is just fine. I've only ever done rope drop one time in the 20+ years we've been going to WDW (back when Rise of the Resistance opened), so no need to rush. Our stay patterns have definitely changed now that DD is an adult...

As to convenience, if I'm leaving the MK at night, getting on the Poly boat or the FW boat is 6 or 1/2 dozen the other to me (with the caveat that I have a golf cart at FW).

We're not rope drop people either. I can't get my partner out of the room before 1030 at the earliest but we like being able to head back midday for a nap and then go to dinner.

Maybe I'll enjoy the boat more now that it's cooler out but during the summer it was miserable for me with the smell of gas and the sun in my face so generally we'll take the moldy smell on the monorail because at least it's air conditioned :P

I posted the link to Tim's DVCNews dues article in the 2025 dues thread.
A lot of PVB owners are going to be very happy to see their dues go down by 3.69%.
It was a good year for me. RIV only going up 2.3%, AUL only going up 3.6%, the one that hurts me is AKV but fortunately that's the home resort we have the least amount of points at. With me buying Poly next year it's also indirectly good for me that their dues came down :P

Not surprised one bit by the dues coming down. With the larger than normal average amount of points per room (thank you theme park view rooms) and the simplicity of maintaining the "small" footprint of the new tower vs older, spread out longhouses, it was sort of inevitable that the dues would either remain flat or drop down a bit. Happy to see it have a positive effect on PVB!

yesterday we did the “very merry Christmas party” which was amazing, as we were leaving on the boat back to TTC we could see the tower completely lit up. Our first stay is marathon weekend and I started telling my granddaughters that it’s a new hotel, and we are going to a Moana splashy pad 🤣 they just squealed with joy. Ok Disney …. you win … it’s worth the money. ❤️

I’m really curious as to why dvc hasn’t shared any detailed pics or room tours of the duo studio yet. Any thoughts?
My 2 cents is because they are so small they aren’t why people buy, the 1 bedrooms are why people buy and then begrudgingly stay in Duo studios to maximize points. It’s the same logic behind rental cars, you never rent a base model of a car, its always got all the bells and whistles because its like a test drive, they want you to get hooked on all the nice features. Disney wants you to get hooked on staying in a 1 bedroom, there is no benefit to them to showcase the Duo Studio when they are trying to maximize sales.

If they're trying to maximize sales, which I think we can agree they are, they would want to appeal to a maximal potential sales population. There are potential customers out there that know they are potential Duo customers. Some might not even look at 1BR tours (or if they do, just passingly, or so they can maybe get more hints about Duos). Making a reduced effort to customers is bad business and not some 4D chess move.

The simplest reason they don't haven't put up photos/tours of a Duo? There probably isn't one ready to photograph yet (or at the time it would have been necessary to photograph to make its way onto the site today). Same as a Penthouse.

Looks like the Virtual Tours/photos of the Deluxe Studio, 1BR, 2BRLO, and 2BR are all from a single 2BRLO taken minutes apart (based on the timestamps on the TVs) and could be the model room(s) at Saratoga or even a design/production verification room off-site.

(also, where do you rent cars? Hertz and Alamo always have the lowest spec versions of everything they've ever given me)

I don’t have exactly that shot, but I did snap a pic of the new VGF-PVB skyline from California Grill terrace tonight. The view of MK from CG had a nice view of almost all MK icons, I suspect the penthouses at PoliTow will be similar…though 2-3x as far away?IMG_9980.jpegIMG_9979.jpeg

I toured the model rooms-
The studios are unlike other studios. More of a “real” kitchen, with a dishwasher and a very small dining nook. The dining nook is so small it will barely bit 1 plate on a tiny table.
As a result of it — it only sleeps 4, with only 2 sleeping surfaces.

I really don’t know which will be more popular — longhouse studios or tower studios. To me, for a family of 4, the longhouse studios are better so each kid can have their own sleep surface.

The one bedroom is perhaps the best 1 BR unit in DVC. Very spacious, 2 really nice bathrooms. And the layout has notched efficiency up even further than other recent resorts.
I’m hoping the high point prices will keep 1 BR bookable at 7 months.
