It sounds like they have no idea when.

I also live in NY and now we will be shut out of booking as everyone else can book now or soon. My guide still will not even return a call, he sent an email. I called a generic sales person who said it could be next week or 3 months from now, but could not talk to us now. This was short sited on Disney's part. Not very happy with them right now. I waited a very long time for this and don't like how we have been treated. They could have sent out a letter telling us they would hold the discount for us, at the very least.

To me, I think they may be after fresh DVC'ers and not so much after those add-on contracts. A lot of current members who have 5 or more people in their families and are used to kitchens, washers and dryers, jacuzzis and traditional 1- and 2-bed villas aren't likely to be as eager to buy at Poly, even if they love the resort. Likely, I think they found a new market with the GFV studios that sleep 5 and families like myself who FINALLY jumped on board because we were perfectly fine cramming 5 of us in a hotel room, and didn't care if we had a kitchen or washer or dryer or a lot of space to spread out.
