I have numerous gift cards that I am going to put on my room account in August. So I have a couple of questions.

1. Can the resort put different amounts of the gift cards on different KTTW cards? I have a $50 gift card for both of my girls, and then they have different amounts of cash to put on there as well. I just did'nt know if that was possible to do.

2. If you put a amount of your KTTW card and then you lose it or it is stolen, can someone else use it and reduce your funds on it? Will Disney reimburse you if so?

I am hoping that I can put my two girls spending money on their cards, our dining money on my card, and I will just use a gift card for my own spending money. I hope it will work.

You cannot put money on your kttwc. Some users here have reported they were able to put a credit on the room account but usually that is not possible. Paying with your kttwc means just charging to the room, so the card never has money on it. But you can pay off the room bill every day if you wish.
Why don't you just get more gift cards with yout cash? I always have different gift cards with different amounts on them. I use one for food/snacks, one for drinks/cocktails and a third one for shopping/souveniers.

In the last 6 months, I have tried at Boardwalk, Kidani Village and Bay Lake Tower to put my disney gift cards onto my account at check-in as a credit balance. I was told no each time. Disney does not want credit on accounts and then be responsible for reimbursing the guests if they don't spend it all on their vacation.

Every trip, I just went down to the front desk and used my gift cards as payment on my account after I had enough charges to go over the gift card balance. It is more trouble for the guest, but that is what I have been told to do the last 3 trips.

Just this month at two different resorts it was absolutely no problem to put a bunch of gift cards onto my KTTW card. If I didn't deplete the credit, the balance would be applied to the credit card I had on file. I don't know about putting differing amounts on differing cards. I think for ease, I'd just tell my kids how much they were allowed to spend and leave it at that.

As far as the stolen issue, I don't know. Most everywhere you will be asked to tap to pay, and will have to enter your pin code. Obviously, this deters the possibility of theft.

I didn't ask to have cards put on my account but left the CM with a stack of gift cards to pay my balance and while at the park she called me to tell me I gave her too many and she applied them to my account leaving me with a $500 credit towards room charges.

If your resort allows it, which from posts here sounds unlikely in most cases, I doubt they would be able to put different amounts on different cards. Charges go onto a single account by room number. It would seem unlikely they would be able to separate that from room to individuals within the room.

1. Charges from each KTTW card go to the same room account, so technically you can't put gift cards on each individual KTTW card. I believe you can put gift cards on the room account, but accounts vary. Just ask at the front desk. At worst, you can always pay the balance every couple of days with the gift cards.

2. If your KTTW card gets lost or stolen, call the resort as soon as possible. They'll cancel that card and get you a new one. I'm not sure what the policy is for any fraudulent charges that are made before you report it, but I'm sure they would work it out with you.
