I have to say that I am a real stickler when it comes to our National Anthem, and there is a difference between singing it in "your style" and treating the privilege like it's a career move.

While Beyonce did not do it the injustice that others have, she sang the first three quarters of the song out of tempo and only when she finally got the tempo right she started the changing the song stuff that I hate. Or if you know your music lingo, she sang the song in 4/4 rather than the 3/4 in which its written. All in all it was better than most, but the tempo thing drives me batty.

And for the record, I did not see the Janet Jackson thing, and for that I am eternally grateful.
