Will Disney put a room on hold w/out charging you? If so how long? If a code comes out for November I'd like to be able to hold a room without the commitment (and give me time to talk the hubby into going! ).

Also, is there a way to hold two different rooms at different resorts? That way I could give hubby the option of value or mod...... and all the money I'm saving!!!!

Yes, they do. I think it is for 10 days...gives people time to send their check in once they receive the confirmation

I called yesterday for a room only ressie with a postcard rate. I put 3 rooms at ASSP on hold until Aug. 3rd. That is when I have to put a deposit on EACH room, or lose the ressie. I don't think you can book 2 rooms for the same people, since they ask for everyones names that is in each room. Although I don't agree with that. I feel that if you are willing to pay for 2 rooms at 2 resorts, then you should be able to book them. My mom and dad do that in Vagas often. They have 1 room on the strip, and one downtown. Maybe Disney will let you, but I don't think they will!!:confused3

I have always been told no -- the same person cannot have more than one reservation for the same dates. The computer will catch the "double booking" and cancel both of them.

Could you make one ressie in your name & the other in your DH's name (without listing each other as occupants of the other room)? I've never tried doing it -- maybe someone else would know whether that would work. :confused3

as long as you're more than 45 days out, you have 14 days to pay the deposit o on a package. 14 days to pay first night's deposit on a room only if it's more than 30 days out.

they wanted different addresses for each room. I do not know my Dsis's addy, so I gave mine. He immediatly said "that's your address", so I told him that my Dsis and DBIL would be living with me in sep. He took it, but I think it is ridiculous that you cannot book more than 1 room.... if you are willing to pay for it!!:) . We will have 10 people in 3 rooms, but Disney made it difficult for me to book them. I was just going to put them all in my name, since I am paying for them all, but they wouldn't let me. I guess if you have 2 rooms, and one is for your underage kids, they might make it easier, but we have 6 adults and 4 under 18 y/o's with the youngest being 13.:scared1:

I've never had any difficulty booking more than one room in the same resort. We've done this countless times for ourselves and other relatives accompanying us. I think that's the key -- it has to be in the same resort.

in the same resort...but the CM kept insisting that they all be reserved with different names and different adressess. I wanted to put them all in my name and under my home address, since I am making and paying for the ressies on all 3 rooms! Now one of the confirmations will be mailed to my parents home. Not too big a deal, but this CM made it hard to do. He wasn't real swift, and made me repeat things like names, ages, dates etc, over and over and over..... He seemed very unsure of himself, so maybe it was just a not-so-good CM! I got my confirmation e-mail, but it only has one reservation # on it.... I guess I really do need to call them back!:headache:
