Hello everyone,

It’s been a few months now since I returned from my epic engagement trip in July where it was truly MAGICAL at the Grand Floridian..

But now I am ITCHING to go back and trying to plan a trip in the next few months. Possibly a SOLO trip or with a friend but I am on a strict budget so the All star resorts are likely where I need to look for availability. Short trip and maybe won’t get visit every park unfortunately. What are some of the pros and cons of these resorts? I’m open to either but at the end of the day I need a CLEAN room and good transportation to and from the parks.

Every time I post on these amazing boards this Great community comes up with Great advice. THANKS again.

The All Stars are undergoing room renovations right now so you'll definitely get a decent room. I haven't experienced bad transportation at these resorts either. Sometimes they share buses but not all the time.

I think All Star Movies is the one that’s been upgraded so far. We have stayed at Movies and Sports and I would pick Movies over Sports. Although our rooms were clean and no complaints at either resort. The CMs at Movies we’re really nice. We had the quiet pool all to ourselves one day.

Sports is the 1st stop if they share busses. But I would look to see if there are any competitions going on at that time since this is usually their 1st resort. Been to both and what I do like about the All Stars is you are able to walk easily between the 3 resorts for food and busses.

Movies rooms have been updated but Music has the best food court. I've always been happy with the All Star buses.

Out of the All Stars Resorts we always pick Sports. It is the first picked up and dropped off when they share buses. We also like to walk over to the McDonalds for breakfast (they open 24hrs and we’re up and eat before the food court opens).

As far as renovations go, they have started re-doing the rooms at Music - I don't know how many (if any) rooms will be ready to book by the time you go, but it'd be worth asking if any renovated rooms are available! We loved our stay at Music!

Have stayed at Music a couple of times and had a good time on both occasions - the smaller pool was lovely and a lot quieter than the main pool but even that one was enjoyable. From the boards and Dis shows it seems that Sports is always rated at the bottom of any list that they come up with.

Wow Thank you ALL for the AMAZING feedback! So far it seems like a toss up between Sports and Music. I will most likely rarely be in the room anyway due to the short stay.

Every trip I take one day when the girls go shopping in town and I wander the resorts and take pictures. I would choose Music between the two. The CM;s have always been very pleasant and everytime I have wondered those resorts it has been a lot quieter.

The layout of Music is such that if you are staying in a standard room it will be a long walk to/from the food court and buses versus Sports. Also they are renovating the rooms at Music section by section so don't know if you would be bothered by that.

We loved Sports and would definitely stay there again. Buses were timely and it was an easy walk to the bus stop.

The reason I favor Music is the Broadway section. Far from everything ,but much more Disney than any other section in Music or Sports, IMHO.

I'd go for Movies if at all possible, since it's been renovated. The other two are a toss up for me, I'd go with whichever was cheapest. Sports has a slightly better layout. Those cowboy boot buildings at Music are a looooong walk from the main building.

Music is my least fav AS. I would pick Movies for a reno room. Here you can choose a cheaper standard room & request mighty ducks section & be closer to the Music bus stop than most of the rooms at Music. I also like Sports for being guaranteed first pick up & drop off (though sharing is only minimal & in the middle of the day). Sports is also closest walk to McDonald's.
