Purses & cameras at Stingray City

Since my husband and I both signed up for the Stingray City and Island Tour on Grand Cayman, we were wondering what we do with our street clothes, digital camera, wallet etc. while we are in the water with the disposable waterproof camera and the stingrays? Are there lockers? Changing rooms? What to Do?

I went on a different excursion but imagine it is run pretty much the same. We were on a catamaran. No changing facilities or lockers. We wore swimsuits (with shorts and ts over it for land). I carried a large "beach bag" with my drivers license, KTW card, credit card and a little cash in a pouch, a comb and mirror, and beach towels on top. I did not bring our passports. Each time I go out of the water, I made a quick check of everything. I imagine they cannot afford to be charged with theft, etc. - it would put them out of business.

I also have been to Stingray City, yet probably on a different tour and also was on a catamaran. Stingray City is located right next to a LARGE reef off Grand Cayman. It's not a contained area, it's just a shallow area close to the reef where the stingrays have just gathered during years of humans feeding them. At least that's how it was explained to me when I was there. There are no places to keep your stuff except on the boat you will be on. If you are concerned about bringing something that might "walk away", I'd leave it on the ship. Bring a disposable waterproof camera for your pictures during the excursion. I'd also leave your wallet on the ship and just bring your KTTW card and your id to get back on the ship. I've never had a problem on any of the snorkle cruises I've takena ndhaving something "walk away", but I guess you could never be too careful.
