Purple rooms - more home deco advice

Since you all are so generous sharing your decorating ideas & photos, how about rooms painted in shades of purple or fushia? I had purple wallpaper in my bedroom when I was little and I'd like to do a spare bedroom in some shade of purple. I know hardwoods would look great but I don't think that's happening anytime soon so I'll just change carpet colors depending on what I do with the walls.

My bedroom is painted a colour called 'Cape Henry' by Ralph Lauren but actually had it mixed up by Benjamin Moore. The trim and doors are white, or will be once I've finished painting them. I will try to get a picture.

I really like the colour, I find it calm and relaxing.

I had a purple room when I was in high school, and purple carpeting. I LOVED it! I don't think my parents were as fond of the color as me - but they let me have it anyway!
