Purple MagicBand on the way soon?

Can I ask a stupid question about magic bands? I'd love to get some of the themed magic bands....is there away to buy those before we leave so they can be activated once we get down there? Or can we only buy them once getting down there.

Certain ones (the basic characters - Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, etc) are available on the Disney Parks store (http://www.disneystore.com/magicban...searchTerm=magic+band&catalogFromSearch=10002). However, if you want any other band than the ones on that website, I believe they have to be purchased at the resort. There are shopping services that will buy park items for you, but they charge a mark-up (one I looked at was 20%). For example, I wanted the Americana Mickey band and was told park merchandise won't ship magic bands. Luckily I had a friend at WDW who found one for me at their resort gift shop and got it for me. However, you can order the ones on the website above and link them to your MDE account.

I too would love a purple. Seriously, I have two girls (plus me lol) and one "girl" color. My girls both wanted pink... but then DD12 didn't want to match DD7.... The drama over a band lol. Hope it's available for our December trip because it sure would make my princesses happy!!

Love purple, but I would have to rip the black part off to make it fit. I know why they make them sizeable vs offering S M or L, but clearly the designers never tried to wear one with all that extra plastic gouging their wrist because it wraps around twice until it is pulled off...and once off it has a ragged look.

Just trim it then file it. You don't have to take all of the grey (or black in this supposed band's case) off. Then take a good nail file and smooth it.

That would be awesome! I have all the colors so far and would love a new one and we are up for renewal in December. That would work out great.
