Purple Magic Band?

In this link here (hope link works), they show a PURPLE color magic band.

Currently, there is no purple color available to select online at MDE.

Anyone know when the purple color might be released?

We have to order our bands by 10/9/13 and am debating whether to wait and see if the purple color is released. Or just go ahead and place order.

I think that is a picture from when the concept first rolled out. I remember seeing it last spring. It looks like they replaced purple with yellow. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on it. If they were going to use it, it would have been offered with the test. It is one of my favorites, too!

We just got back on Monday and while we were there, we were asked to complete a survey about our experience with the Magic Bands. I asked the CM about purple bands and she said they should be coming out, but didn't say when.

She may not know anything, but just thought I would share anyway.

I would probably wait until closer until the date to order them but I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope. Who knows?

Well, if true, I sure hope they offer purple by Oct. 14 or 15 (I forget which is my last day to change my choice). But I'm afraid this was just a CM making something up when she didn't really know.

Just FYI the real ones look nothing like that pic you posted. That was just the concept photo. Not to say that purple wont come out, but who knows if/when.

We only saw them in testing resort gift shops last week. They were about $5 each, I think.

Just get one red one and one blue one, then put them in the blender.

The ones in the picture are from testing last year. The current bands have the dark gray/black outer ring with the colored inner section and do not come in purple.

The bling for the bands are only available in the gift shops of testing resorts. I will check prices later for you. I bought the charms that fit in the holes. They had some really cute ones. There are sleeves/covers that come as a single or 3 pack.

They have slides also and you get a 2013 with Mickey head slide when you check in.

You get the gray if you did not pick yours before you left home. If you pre-order you can get red, blue, yellow, orange, pink and green and they have your name on the inside of the band.

Correct, as of now all replacement bands are gray.

Correct if you don't pre-order them before you leave home, you get gray by default at the hotel. So if you do lose it, you will get gray.

Another purple lover here and most everything I have is purple. Because I didn't like any of the other colors, I did actually choose gray (and I might be the only person to have done so). I just figured I could swag it up or get a purple one when they have them.
