Purex all in one sheets

Here in Chicagoland I purchased them today at Meijer grocery store. They had both Tropical and Spring scents. I went with Tropical. I bought the kit with the plastic holder, as I was not sure if that keeps them moist and fresh.

The refills were the same price as the starter kit $6.79 but refills have 24 sheets whereas the starter kits have 20. Will let you know how they work after our next WDW trip!

After reading this thread earlier today I found myself at Wal-Mart so I made sure I picked some of these up right away. I bought the starter kit in Pure and Clean along with two refills (one in Tropical and one in Spring).

I am really hoping these work as good as they sound. Thank you to the original OP for sharing this information!!!

They look convenient. I hope they get a "free" version. I can't breathe the perfumes of ordinary laundry products. With a name like Purex, maybe they will do that!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I picked some up yesterday and they did have a clean scent version.

These sound great, I was just about to reorder Dropps, but I will definitely try these first. Thanks!

We were at the world from 5/30 - 6/6, I used the sheets while there but for some reason I didn't think to read the instructions on the box before I used them. I started filling the washer with the water and clothes and added the sheet. When I took my clothes out they were covered in white lint, so I went back and read the box the sheets need to be put in the water first let the water fill a bit then add the clothes. After that little correction I love the sheets, and the dryer sheet part worked just fine however I did not have large loads so not sure how they would do on a larger load (for the dryer)

(My goof was due to having a front load washer and not being used to turning the water on before the load was in, no biggie though!!)

That is sooo funny! I just got back from Walmart where I purchased two starter sets (one is for my college age son!!). You know, the one that called from college and asked why his clothes were not dry when the dryer stopped... he thought the dryer was broken and called to ask how long he could leave them in before they caught fire!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sandi- Sounds like you and I may be living the same life! ;)

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: That is soooooooooooooooooo funny. My dd goes off to college the end of Aug. I could see her calling and saying the exact same thing

This is crazy because I JUST saw a commercial for these last night while I was watching the Tony's(I just LOVE the theatah!) They look perfect for travel.:thumbsup2

Just got back from Target. Mine had the "spring" scent as well as the "Pure&Clean" which is the hypoallergenic one. You can actually see it on the link - you just have to click on it as it is defaulted to show up on "Spring". They look pretty cool!

Just a warning that the Pure & Clean are not totally scent free. I just assumed by the name that they would be....they aren't. The load of clothes I just washed with a Pure & Clean sheet now have a scent. I am extremely allergic to perfumes, so I'm going to have to rewash the load.

I went to Purex's website...the description says "100% hypoallergenic with a subtle fresh, clean scent. Perfect for people with sensitive skin." Their idea of hypoallergenic includes a scent. Mine differs. :) I should have looked at the website before I bought the sheets!

I called the company...the lady I spoke with said even though they have a scent, they consider them to be hypoallergenic. Am I missing something? :confused3 Doesn't hypoallergenic usually mean unscented?

Hypoallergenic is not a medical term but a marketing term created in the '50s. It is supposed to indicate something that causes or claims to cause less allergic reactions. Even so called hypoallergenic pets still produce allergens, just less than the majority of their species. Currently there is no regulation specifically defining or governing the use of the term "hypoallergenic" or similar claims. And because of the lengthy procedural steps required to establish a new regulation that is likely to be the situation for some time to come.

Despite all the reassurances and claims that manufacturers give us about their products in terms of allergy reactivity, nothing is 100% guaranteed to be non-reactive. Having kids with a variety of allergies we have often found out the hard way what hypoallergenic really means - a nice marketing ploy.

I've been using these for a few days now and I really like them. I found them at our local K-Mart and they had a $1.50 coupon out front. They are going to be great at WDW.

Thanks for posting. I checked at our grocery store and they just had the refills, and our Target just had the starter sets. I grabbed a starter set right away. I think I might get a refill too before we leave.

They seem like they'd be perfect for vacation. I'm a little worried on how well they'll sell though because they seemed kind of pricey for the number of loads you get? That's why I grabbed one right away for our trip at the end of Aug. It seemed to be about the same price as the Purex liquid which does like 32 (?) loads.

I hope they are able to keep selling these. I still miss my Oxy ball...That probably would have been perfect for vacation too.

Thanks for this!!! I printed the coupon and bought a refill pack of the lightly scented ones at Target. I don't need the starter set box thingy, as I'm just going to put the number of sheets I need in a ziploc bag to take with us. You get 4 more sheets in the refill pack than in the starter set for the same price. I'm thrilled that these are so small. I love to travel light!! woohoo!

I'm buying these for my upcoming trip. I will have to do laundry at least one day, so these will come in handy. Very easy to transport.:thumbsup2

So funny to see this thread...when I first heard of these my first thought was, how great for DVC trips!

Not sure it's regional or not, but Walgreen's is giving out $2 in register rewards when you buy a pack at $5.99. There's a $1 coupon on the internet floating around. :thumbsup2

I got the tropical oasis and spring fresh scents. The former is very potent and the latter is a bit more subdued.

I would recommend that if you like these sheets that you actually stock up on them. I still have a couple of boxes of Purex and Tide tablets for use while on vacation and they have not been made for a couple of years! I certainly plan on buying a few packages of these if they do a good enough job :).

ohhh, I loved those tide tablets!:sad2:

I already bought a package of the purex sheets. Do you think they will be okay in the HE machines. I was a little concerned about the previous comment of the need to fill the machine with water before putting the sheet in. Is that possible with an HE machine? Don't some of them lock after you start them?
