We are looking to purchase a home in Florida. Not sure exactly where, but have been considering the Orlando/Kissimmee area. I have been doing alot of reading trying to find someone to help us out and am overwhelmed with all the infomation. We would definitely rent it out, but would have to use a management company. It seems like there are soooo many real estate agents and management companies that without a direct referral I wouldn't know who to trust. If anyone has any ideas and/or suggestions or referrals as far as a real estate agent and management company I would definitely appreciate it. Preconstruction is another possiblity. I would love to hear your personal experiences if you have done this. I have asked this on other threads with no response. There seems to be this secret that no one wants to reveal. Thank you :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

I can't give you any advice about purchasing, but we have stayed in 4 different private homes in the WDW area since May 2002. We have had wonderful vacations. I am so glad these homes are offered to rent. So I just wanted to wish you good luck in your venture.

We just moved down to SE Orlando and while our house is being built we are renting a house in the development in which we are building. We are using ReMax Realty to rent the house and we have spoken with the owners of the house who have said that ReMax has been great to deal with. We deal directly with a ceratin indivisual at ReMax as well for any questions/concerns we have on the house we are in right now and he has been great as well.

I don't know how much help this is but if you have any particular questions, let me know! Good Luck

Snappy thanks for the best wishes...just trying to do something for the future. mbb... thank you...sounds like a good place to start...I will definitely look at it.

Thanks kerrynic...I noticed you are from Connecticut too. Was this a big decision to move down to Florida. I know we will make the move down the road but not for a few years yet (unless we just make a rash decision one night). That's why right now we would just like to have a place to stay till we make a decision and when we're not there use it as a rental.

HI disneymagical-

My DH and I were married this past October, he was working in Wallingford and through a contact he had met, he was offered a great IT job in Orlando. We figured since we had no kids and were living in a very expensive condo, that the time was perfect! He got the job in November and we were down here Jan.8th. It happened very quick but we are so happy here.

Boy kerrynic you guys did that right. Twenty plus years ago when we were married I kept trying to talk my husband into moving to Florida. He loved the snow and wanted nothing to do with moving. Well year after year of dealing with the winters he now hates the snow. But now 2 kids later we wouldn't think about moving till they are totally out of the house. It's just too much of a decision right now. That's why we would like to buy a place which would put us that much closer to where we really want to be.
