Just wondering if there is any reason not to wait until check-in to purchase park tickets? I like to have as little invested in a trip until we are actually on-site as to avoid any lost money upon vacation changes.

There's always the possiblity that ticket prices might increase between your time of booking and your time of arrival...

We did this in August for the same reason you mentioned.

I am planning on doing this Sunday when we check into the Contemporary. I booked room only so that I could cancel (with the 5 day notice) if something came up and so I would only have to pre-pay one night.

I believe I can purchase them in the lobby. Can any one tell me how this works? Many thanks!

Sure - when you check in the CM will most likely ask if you have tickets -- you tell her no and she will show you your options or if you know what you want you can just ask for them and she will sell them to you.

If you don't do it when you check in you can later go to the line that says lobby concierge/tickets/dining and they can sell them to you there as well.

1) If you know what you want, buy them ahead of time and save a few bucks.
2) If you need help, then buy them at the Concierge Desk.
3) Let's face it, there are a lot of ticket options to consider
. . . number of days for ticket
. . . park-hop or no park-hop
. . . water parks or no water parks, and how to blend with park admissions
. . . expire or non-expire

Does this work for APs also? I booked room with AP discount.

I was planning on checking in and then buying AP at hotel. Will I still get discount rate? Or will they charge full and then decrease when I go back with AP?
