Purchasing tickets at the gate

I have a $10 off coupon, so we'll have to buy our tickets at the gate. How are the lines for tickets? Can one person stand in line to get them, while the others stand in line to enter the park?

Lines getting into SWF are not huge.
Their ticket machines work, so it's usually not a problem.
The baggage check is done just before the turnstiles, so having someone hold a place in line wouldn't really work.
The best idea is to get to the park 45 minutes before opening time (9am). That way, you'll be parking near the entrance, can get your tickets, and they usually let you into the first part 15 minutes before the official opening time. Go left, where you'll run into someone holding a rope. National Anthem plays, rope drops, then you go to JTA and Kraken for some walkon rides.

Just curious, where did you find the $10 coupon? The only ones I can find are for $5 off.

coupons going around (from Wendy's?) that give you $10 off per admission and you can use up to four per coupon. Keep looking here as some have made them available for the asking. Also, some have been listed on ebay for just a few dollars.
