Purchasing Park Tickets at Check-in??

This will be out first DV stay when we have to purchase WDW tickets (our first trip "home" in August, we had CM complimentory tickets) so I am not sure how this process works.
Can we purchase WDW park tickets when we check in at the resort or do we have to do that at the gate?
Also, can the tickets be attached to our room keys so we are just using the 1card for everything (room, park entrance and DDP)?

You can purchase tickets at check-in, and they'll be happy to add them to your resort ID, so you can have everything on one card.
