Hey guys, if I book my Disney World vacation package through Disney, but decide to provide my own airfare, can I still use the Magical Express at the airport in Orlando?

Anyone listed on a room reservation at a Disney-operated WDW resort can use Disney's Magical Express. The room reservation can be part of a package, or a room-only reservation, or a DVC point reservation, or an RCI exchange, or a Thank You Points reservation, or whatever. It just requires a DME reservation.

It also does not matter how someone arrives at Orlando International Airport. The arrival can be on flight booked as part of a package, a flight booked on an airline's website, or a flight booked through an online or traditional travel agency. In fact, you could even arrive at airport in some way that does not involve an aircraft.

Oh okay thanks. Do they still provide those yellow bag-tags so the luggage is loaded onto the DME?

Yes. You'll be sent yellow DME tags if you have DME reservations involving domestic flights. You should make sure you have an accurate DME reservation a month or so ahead of time.

Just to clarify, your luggage is not "loaded onto the DME," if that means a DME motor coach. Your yellow-tagged luggage is intercepted before it goes to baggage claim, sent to a sorting facility at the airport, and shipped to your resort on a truck. Chances are that you'll be on your DME motor coach before your luggage leaves the airport. That's one reason why you need to allow up to three hours after you check in at your resort before your bags are delivered to your room. So bring a carry-on anything you'll need right away. (And you don't have to be in your room when your bags are delivered because DME pre-tips bell services.)
