Hi all - Just returned from WDW.

Have been a dozen times, but a song at the American Experience became a real ear worm & I would love to own it. Can't find it anywhere - any suggestions?

Also, there was a T-shirt I wanted to buy for my boyfriend, but it wasn't in the right size. You used to be able to order things after you returned home, but I can't remember how. Is this still an option?

Thanks!

I am going to move you over to the Theme Park Strategy Board.
Or you could call your resort and ask for the # or e-mail to call and order.

Do you remember any lyrics from this song? Do you remember where in the presentation you heard the song?

Do you mean a song from the American Adventure or the American Idol Experience? If it was from that second, it may not be a disney/disney-made song so you might be able to get it anywhere...if you can remember it.

As for the t-shirt, I've done this a few times. I don't like to call so I e-mailed. You just tell them what you are looking for. They'll e-mail you back with the item number and price and then you e-mail back with your size info and credit card info.

Oh good god. I just assumed the poster was referring to the American Adventure. If people on these boards are going to confuse American Adventure (the best thing in Epcot) with American Idol (the lamest concept on the property), I may as well just puke on my computer right now and hopefully short circuit myself off the web forever.

It's not me!! I agree with your opinion on the American Adventure. My first thought was that the OP was refering to the American Adventure too but then I reread and she said "experience" so I got confused.

If it was from the American Adventure, could it be The Voices of Liberty that you heard??

Oh no, I'm not blaming anybody, it just occured to me that the two names will be confused.
Hopefully for OP's sake it was AA and it was the voices of liberty, because they rock!

If your referring to "The American Adventure" in Epcot here are a few songs that are either part of the show, sung by some area entertainers or might be considered area music around this country:

The American Adventure - Golden Dream
The American Adventure - Chant
The American Adventure - Two Brothers
The American Adventure - You Are My Sunshine
The American Adventure - New World Bound
The American Adventure - America Days of 76
The American Adventure - Voices of Liberty/Star Spangled Banner
The American Adventure - Brother, Can Yu Spare A Dime?"

The song "Golden Dream" is the theme song for the American Adventure, and you can find more information on the wikipedia also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_American_Adventure#Theme_song

Good heavens - no! It was NOT American Idol. You couldn't PAY me to go to American Idol. :rotfl:

No, it was Two Brothers at the American ADVENTURE. Sorry about the confusion. I have heard that song dozens of times, but it just stuck in my head this time & I'd love to get a copy. Someone gave me the number for Disney merchandising, so maybe they can advise.

Thanks very much for the responses!

Oh that's funny! Yes, I like that song too. A while ago, someone here posted park audio and the whole AA show was something I was able to get. I listen to it often and my sister and I LOVE that song! We always laugh when the brothers start fighting and dad says, "Quiet! You're gonna ruin Ma's birthday!" And she says, "Nooooo, ain't nothing gonna ruin today" Then the song starts up...

I really don't think it's something that is on a cd for purchase though. Maybe in the future it will make it onto one of the park cds. The last one I have is from Happiest Celebration on Earth and I know it's not on that one.

Harry Belafonte has a version on his cd, The very Best of Harry Belafonte. He is not the one who sings it at the American Adventure, but the lyrics are similar. Shelby Flint also has a version, and the lyrics are a better match. Both can be found on Amazon.

No, it was Two Brothers at the American ADVENTURE.

I purchased (on itunes) a version of this song by Ethel Raim and Ronnie Gluck. Sounds very similar to the version used in the show, but I don't think it's the exact version.
