Purchasing extra points for reservation...

Can someone give me the details of buying additional points. I can't find it on the website (although I am sure it is there). I think I remember something about $15 per point up to 20 pts per use year or something like that??? I can't remember exactly what the details are.

They can't be banked or borrowed.

Also, you can only purchase them at the 7 month mark.

Also they can only be purchased at the time the reservation is made. As far as I know, if you cancel the reservation the points are forfeit (or do they stay in your account and expire at the end of your current UY?)

According to the DVC site:
One-time-use vacation points expire according to the use year of the reservation booked and are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be banked or borrowed.

I recently purchased 5 extra points - it was an easy process. The "worst" part of the whole transaction was waiting on hold for 20 minutes to pay for the extra points... the CM that made the reservation had to get someone else on the line to take payment and that seemed to take forever (and the hold music wasn't working - having that music playing makes the wait more enjoyable!)

I have done this twice now, I bought 3 extra points for my trip in October. It was easy but did take some extra time to make the reservation. I really like this new option, i am alway short a few points to add on an extra dat to trips, this is a perfect solution. Only had to pay $45 to stay an extra night at WLV.. Last year it bought me an exta night at OKW to see the Christmas decorations..
