Purchasing DVC AP

We canceled our trip last year due to my mom moving in with us for a long recuperation (she's much better now!) and I did not keep up on my Disney planning skills so please help an experienced Disney traveler who feels like a fish out of water.

Looking to purchase DVC APs soon (hoping for PAP discount but not sounding likely so want to purchase APs before the price increase) for our family of five. Can I use multiple gift cards (we have a bunch from Target) or can I still only use two forms of payment (from what I think I remember last time we purchased in 2013)? We have approx $1450 Disney Visa rewards we were hoping to save for dining during our trip but we could use for the APs if we have to limit the number of payment types for the APs. We don't have a Disney Savings Account...sound like it would have e worked well for us to pool our gift cards in one "place" but our trip is in May and looks like you need to open the account 120 days before using the account to make a payment? Any thoughts on the best way to make our AP purchase utilizing our Disney Visa rewards and/or our gift cards?

You don't need to have the account open for 120 days to make a payment (such as buying APs), just to get the perk of $20 gift card per $1000 spent. Open the DVA with a debit or cc payment of $10 and then you can make contributions through various means. Enjoy your trip!

Ohh...so then we can use that reward gift card in the future? Can the $20 reward gift cards be used at the Disney Store also or only for trip expenses?

Correct. I purchased 5 PAP last spring and a couple of of 3 day park tickets in the summer. All using my DVA either online or over the phone.

If you purchase the PAP online, they will be linked to your online account. So all parties will need to be "linked" to your MDE. If you buy over the phone, you get a confirmation number then the adult can link to their MDE themselves.

No. They will not allow you use gift cards to purchase gift cards.

Sorry if this is a repeat question:
I like the idea of the Disney saving acct. I have $1500 bank of American reward $$ to cash out. I can deposit that $$ into the savings to buy my AP for April trip but no $20 bonus until after 120 days. Maybe I should save for my October trip then?

My question is, I opened my vacation account and deposited my gift cards. Within a week or two of opening I purchased my APs. Will I be eligible for the bonus gift card once the account has been active for 120 days, or did the purchase have to be made after the account was 120 days old?
