your time and expertise. I really enjoy reading the posts on this board and enjoy the photography even more.

After much consideration, I purchased the Pentax K100D with the kit lense. I will "play" with it for a short time before I purchase an additional lense for use at my DD volleyball games, and I am sure the list of photography purchases will go on and on and...like a camera bag (posted earlier). I really like that sling bag!

Anyway, I am so excited to venture further into photography, it is fun to be learning something new. Maybe one day I'll even post a photograph or two.

Thanks again,

Jen

Congrats on the new purchase. Welcome to the world of dSLR's. Your addiction has begun, some call it a syndrome (in the Nikon world its called NAS {Nikon Accessory Syndrom}) and there is no known cure. Resistance is futile. The more you resist the harder it is to control.

Have fun learning and shooting. Be sure to post lots and lots of pictures.

Congrats on your purchase. I actually just got my Pentax K100d yesterday. I haven't had much time to play with it, but so far I love it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of dSLR, now you are going to need to find a second job to pay for your new hobby :)

congrats on your camera... I am part of the Pentax family as well, loving my *ist DL, but already eyeing the k10d this summer...

Congrats... like eugeniuss, I'm looking forward to moving from a DL to a K10D.The DL is great but the focusing is just a little slow/unreliable in the dark... my understanding is that the K100D and especially K10D are much improved over the DL in this regard. Other than that, the DL has been a champ this trip.

I have started to notice some dust on the sensor, I'll have to grab a sensor cleaning kit when I return, though.
