purchased iphone from ebay - not working

So mad!! i purchased an iphone4 Verizon phone from ebay. It said good condition etc. clean esn blah blah blah - after a week i finally received it - cam with a small charge - i was able to hook it up to my wifi - was going to set it up on pageplus this weekend - today its totally dead and will NOT recharge - tried differnet outlets, plugs etc - i have an iphone so i know what i'm doing.

Just contacted the seller on ebay - going to return it...so mad - now i'm afraid to order such an expensive item from ebay.

I'm sorry that really stinks. Did you buy it from an individual selling their old one or was it from a cell phone re-seller?

This could've happened with a friend, on Craigslist, on Amazon... anytime you buy a second hand item. Luckily, unlike most of the others you can get a full refund via PayPal and not lose out completely. Ebay is horrendous with their sellers but treats their buyers much better!

They are basically the same company. Have you contacted the seller and have they okayed the return? If they're giving you a problem you can file a claim. It's pretty ugly to have a claim filed on the seller side so I'm sure they'll find a way to work it out with you.

Try holding down the home button at the same time as you hold down the on/off button. This can take 20-30 seconds, but might work to turn it on. This sometimes happens with my phone:

Try working it out with the seller FIRST before putting in any claims!
