DW escorted me to purchase a new suit :rolleyes:We have a family wedding coming up and also my sons Graduation. Apparently she did not "trust" my judgement so we went together:rolleyes: I have not purchased a suit in probably at least 10-15 years...I still do not see what is wrong with my old one:confused: I figured that one could get me through for another 10 years at least:p

Close to $400 later its being altered:rolleyes: DW and sales person telling me thats an excellent buy on this suit:rolleyes: I still do not know why I can not wear a nice "tropical" shirt to this wedding as its in Vegas:p

there was no way I was letting my husband buy one by himself either....he is of course very spiffy... and I am sure you are too patrick

I did have to tell him he could not wear his mickey mouse tie......and he didnt'....but he snuck in his Mickey mouse pin.......geesh

We attended a Vegas wedding in October. It was held on the HMS Britannia in front of Treasure Island. One of the groomsmen wore a pirate bandana on his head with his tux. He looked pretty awesome! Maybe you can wear the Hawaiian shirt with your suit, with a nice nuetral tie!!!

At least the people who are in the wedding only have to rent a tux for $100.00.

I agree with you Patrick. I think the ten-year-old suit was probably just fine. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I knew Ellen was a smart cookie. No way should any man be trusted to dress themselves, especially to a formal event like a wedding. I can just see you wearing a fancy suit and a blue Hawian print shirt underneath :) Debster???? If he wears the Hawian shirt, he has to wear a flower Leigh....you got to dress appropriately you know ;)

So, when are you gracing with a picture of you in the suit?

I no longer have to go shopping with dh for his suits. Thank goodness! He wears a suit everyday and has bunches because one little spot and he can't wear it to court or wherever.

He's color blind so it took a few years to "train" him to ask the clerk what color everything is, otherwise he ends up with outlandish color combinations.

I want to see a photo of you in that suit, Patrick :)

400.00 bucks for a suit!!!! it's cheaper to rent a tux

About time Patrick - glad to hear Ellen 'escorted' ya - will you be modeling the suit at Patrick Con?

Patrick, what a typical guy remark "I don't see what's wrong with the old one"!! ;)
Ellen has good sense, she knows best, when will you learn that? ;)

Great idea Marla....we can have a fashion show!!!!!

Pam thanks now I have a picture in my head of Patrick wearing a white double knit polyester suit. Although that might be interesting to see. ;)

Yes, pictures would be great idea!!!

Don't worry, Patrick....my DH wouldn't have a clue either on picking out a suit!!!:teeth:

Well, I think you guys know how I feel about this one. Need I remind you of DH's ugly plaid shirt?

I'm sure an escort by Ellen was necessary. :teeth:

Sorry Snoopy...that shirt was rather nic looking on your DH, but we did get rid of the facial hair ;)

You know, I remember a blue Hawiian shirt that you wore at PatrickCon last year, that would go rather smashingly with a dark new suit. Maybe Ellen will take a compromise (please don't show her this, I wil never be welcomed back to your house) A white orchid leaigh would also be deemed appropriate :) :)

When I attended a wedding in Hana (Maui) in 1997, I had to purchase a tropical shirt for the occasion. I think you should have stuck with the tropical theme Patrick and saved the money that you spent on the suit for a Disney vacation.

My feeling exactly John! Well I have to wear the suit, but I will find a seat close to the back of the chapel so I can slip in and out while working the video poker machines:smooth:
