Are the ticket booth lines very long when US opens?

Or is it worth purchasing a 1 day ticket to US online for pickup at the park?

Are the 2 extra dollars you pay per ticket (when purchased online) worth it?

Depends on the time of year. Unless it's a busy time of year, you should be able to wait and get your ticket. My dad got my aunt her ticket at park opening and she was in very quickly! If you are going in January (since I see your Disney countdown is for Jan.) you'll have NO problem getting the ticket there. If it was for Spring Break, Easter, or Summer or something...you'd want to buy online. HTH!!
