Purchase park passes at hotel

I need an annual pass and 2 park 3 day pass for an upcoming trip in July? should I purchase online and bring or wait until I get onsite? and can I purchase these at the HRH where we are staying or at the front gate of the park

I would buy the AP online before you go. Then pick up the AP when you get to the gates then use the AP to get a discount on the other tickets.

We are doing just as Bluer suggested! I ordered an AP yesterday that I will obtain in Portofino's lobby in their ticket kiosk. I'll take the voucher to guest services at one of the parks and obtain my AP. Then I'll go through the gate and use my AP, come right back out, and purchase my family's tickets at a discount! (15% off, I think?) It was the cheapest way I could find plus I got a great AP rate.

After you get it from the hotel kiosk, you still have to go to guest services? Will I need ID?

We just got back from Universal and bought the annual pass and discounted multi day tickets all at the same time at the gate. I read on here about having to activate the ap by entering and then coming back out to purchase the tickets but I didn't have to do that. Maybe I got lucky but you might want to ask. It will definitely save you some time if you didn't have to go through that hassle.

You are correct. The only time you can't buy them all at once is when you choose the Will Call option and pick up the AP at the kiosk. If you're purchasing the AP at the ticket window, you can go ahead and purchase the additional tickets at the same time.
