Purchase AP now or wait until 2025?

I booked my hotel using AP rate for Feb 2025. Should I go ahead and purchase the pass now in case universal raises prices in 2025? Or am I safe to wait until closer to my trip?

I would also like to know what the passholder/regular multi-day ticket plan is for Epic but I'm sure most everyone on this board would like to know too so I guess we'll all wait patiently

One of Murphy's laws - if you wait, prices will go up before you purchase. If you buy now, they won't go up until after your trip.

It isn't activated until you enter the parks, so there's no real downside to buying earlier.

When you put it like that, it makes me feel like I have the awesome power to set ticket prices hahaha

I was hoping that the 3 months free promo might be rolled out if I wait but I think you're right and it's safer not to bet on it!

I agree with going ahead and getting it now, as you can’t know what they are going to do in future. But don’t discount the power of ‘setting prices!’ Last year, the extra three months rolled out 1 week after I bought mine! Most definitely that wouldn’t have happened had I waited!

They did that to me too... I called and they were nice enough to refund the original APs and let me repurchase with the 3mo promo. Which works out in their favor because now we're going for an extra bonus trip next month solely because of those extra 3mos.

Bought late June 2023, called July 1 & was able to refund & repurchase w/ the promo.

At the time, the rep said they are technically not supposed to add the promo to APs purchased before the promo started. It did sound like if APs were activated, were purchased at a different price than the current AP pricing, or were bought with the FlexPay monthly payments, then you'd be SOL.

We usually wait to purchase till right before trip , or when hotel is non refunable.
