Purchase AP before arrival at WDW?

Hi,
I plan to buy an AP and have obtained the AP rate for my resort stay at the beginning of June. My question is this.....do I need to order an AP before I leave home so I can present it upon check-in in order to get the lower AP rate, or can I check-in first, and then buy it at the park the same day?

I was trying to get by without paying the shipping fee and also having one less item to remember to pack.

If you buy your AP in advance, they only send you a voucher anyway so you would need to take the voucher to guest relations anyway to get the actual pass and have it activated.

Some postings on the dis have indicated that you can check in with your voucher only, some have indicated that you can check in with nothing and come back later and present your AP or you can arrive at DW, go to guest relations, purchase your AP and then check in.

If you are flying you can get the activated pass at the Disney Store in the Orlando airport. It only takes a few minutes, we do it before we pick up or luggage. It works great!

If you are flying into Orlando Int'l you can buy an activated AP at Disney's Earport located in the airport. That way you will have it in hand and can justdrive to your resort and checkin.

Earport is located in the East Hall section of the main terminal. It is a gift shop type place and they sell the activated AP's.

This link will take you to a map of the airport, you will have to make it larger to read it, but that way you can see where it is.
