Puppy name ideas please...

My favorite is "Truman".

I also like "Spencer" and "Franklin".

My DSister named her golden "Askim", so whenever anyone asked what her dog's name was she would say "Askim" and you wouldn't believe how many people would then ask the dog what it's name was!! :lmao:

I LOVE THIS!! :thumbsup2 My DH has always wanted to name one of our dogs D....O....G pronounce DeeO-Gee. I laugh at it, but end up loving the puppy too much for that name. Askim is really creative and cute.

There's a Newfie at the dog park that I take our dog to. He's the sweetest, slobberiest dog, and he has the BEST name.

Hagrid! :thumbsup2

OK, I have to say that Hagrid is a wonderful name for a such a sweet Newfie puppy.

How about Quigley? We have a Quigley at home!

Thanks for the suggestions! I love them all! :cool1:

I thought about Fluffy, Precious and Teeny, LOL!

Tonka is cute but we always, and I mean ALWAYS, shorten names around here. For instance: our GSD is named Luger (after the gun). He is also called: Luge, Booger, Lugie... you get the drift. :rotfl:

I have a "not so bad" reaction on JAKE.

Walter just seems so old. :( Although it is very nice.

Keep them coming, please...

Ours is IM Spartacus, but we waited to name him till we got to know him. He was very timid and the name that the Shelter gave him did not fit, so we renamed him. He is not timid any more :thumbsup2 (unless we are going somehwhere in the car he HATES the car ride anywhere :confused3 )

Grand Falls Windsor is a town in New Foundland. What about that for a registered name and Windsor as his name? I always think dogs need aristocratic names and fun nicknames. I have an Orion (Oreo) and a Cassiopeia (Cassi). Both kids were studying astronomy when we got a new puppy so I guess it is now a theme.

Samson

Diesel

Winston

Itzy (my friends named their Great Pyranees)

Great names! I really like Denali, but I have an affinity for Alaska!

I also like Marley.

You have to post some pictures of your pup when he/she gets home. :)

How about Screech? It is the name a very popular Newfoundland liquor. I know all Canadians have heard of it but not sure if it is known in the US at all.

I like some of these! Thanks! :cool1:

So far, Jake and Murphy have fallen behind my DH's new favorite... ready for this?

DUDLEY

:rotfl:

Oh boy... can you imagine?

I really like Wilson and Barney too. Geez, this is hard!

We have a Ball Python named Monty. Get it? Monty Python?

Hi There!

We will be bringing home a Newfoundland Puppy like this one in May:

We are stuck on names. I have suggested the following names which all got voted down. :confused3

Captain Morgan
Marley (after Bob Marley)
Stormy
Kieron
Denali
Logan
Lance

Help... any ideas that would fit a 140 pound black fuzz ball? :confused3

Denali is a great name, and quite appropriate. Here's a picture of our "mountain"

His name is Mitch, short for Mount Mitchell, a mountain in NC where he is from...

Today I heard of a dog called Alpine (Hope I didn't read it on this thread:lmao: ). I like this for a big dog.

Just going through old threads - was wondering what you ended up naming the pup?

Shananigan (my fav, we used this)

Beauregard (Bo for short)

Goober (for fun)

Brock

Chester

Duke

Forrest

Hartley

I like Brady, Murphy and my favorite is Griffin. (Griffin is my 6 month old yellow labs name)

I sorely wanted to name our current big dog Voldemort (Morty for short), but couldn't talk the family into it.
